Happy Autumn Equinox, a little story for you…
3 years have passed since these moments were captured by our friend Alex 🌙🌿 🍁
It was the first time I had properly been in front of a camera and the first proper shoot with an actual camera and a master of the art behind it (not just me, my iPhone and an editing app). I remember thinking to myself there are not many people I could share this vulnerability with and that Alex is a special sort of soul because I couldn’t be more at ease. We talked about gratitude so much during this shoot, how could we not? We were basking in the joy of all of our favourite things. Nature, photography, the sea, coffee, friendship and getting to call it work when really it was play. I didn’t necessarily have a direct vision with this shoot but I knew I wanted it to capture the feelings of comfort, warmth and cosy while being out in the wild. We ebbed and flowed like the tide in front of us. Alex would have an idea and I followed and then I’d get a sense for something good and he’d capture it as if he was seeing inside my brain.
When I thought of this shoot this evening and how it made me feel I thought of the quote “to be seen is to be loved” and I felt so seen and so loved by my friend on this shoot, that’s how magic happens ✨ All thanks to Woosie 🧡
