We’ve now been open for only seven weeks, and we’re still growing every single day. Looking back, I think one of our biggest achievements has been simply being consistently open seven days a week, serving great coffee and becoming part of the village.
When we took over Koffie, one of the biggest requests from the community was for the coffee shop to be open consistently. I’m really proud to say we’ve achieved that, and we’d like to thank everyone who has supported us so far.
The next exciting step is the launch of the Hungry Bear Kitchen. Once Stuart’s commercial kitchen is up and running, we’ll be able to extend our food offering significantly. Once the Hungry Bear Kitchen is fully operational, we’re also hoping to introduce some evening pop-up events.
We’re also looking at expanding our drinks menu and making even better use of the space by hosting community events. We’ve already had some fantastic ideas suggested, particularly for Christmas, and we can’t wait to start bringing some of them to life.
There has been a slight delay with our signage after we had to change suppliers, but our new provider is now in place and our fascia lettering should be installed over the next few weeks. After that, we’ll be working towards installing a traditional hanging sign to complete the frontage.
We’re absolutely loving being part of village life. We’d love to work even more closely with the other fantastic local businesses, including Norris Family Grocers, the White Lion and The Post Office. We believe every business brings something unique to Niton, and by working together we can create even more reasons for people to visit and enjoy our wonderful village. We love seeing customers pop in for a coffee then over to the village pub for a pint.
Whether it’s a village pancake race, a duck race, Christmas events or other family-friendly activities, we’d love to help bring the community together. We genuinely believe that when local businesses support one another, everyone benefits—our businesses grow stronger, the village becomes even more vibrant, and residents have even more to enjoy.
This is only the beginning for Koffie, and we’re incredibly excited about what the future holds. Thank you to everyone who has supported us over these first seven weeks. We can’t wait to continue growing with you and to keep making Koffie a place the whole community can be proud of.
