It’s our final Lasagne Day! Our famous 3-cheese lasagna is blipping for one day only. Also we only have 2 of todays pasties left thanks to pre-orders even though they’ve not been made yet - you can reserve your dish of choice by simply messaging us. The lasagne is great to takeaway and have for tea as are the patsies - they also freeze perfectly too :)

Here we go then before we move on to our next adventure - one final week in our brilliant cafe. As well as our world beating sausages (from up the road at Sladesdown farm and you can’t buy these in shops), our perfect breakfast muffins and, of course, our homemade menu including our secret recipe burgers and pasties, we’re bringing back our 2 most revered specials. Our 3 cheese lasagne and our slow cooked stew & dumplings. As if that’s wasn’t enough, our final Saturday Special is the only and only Hog Roast Bap. It doesn’t get better than this so pop in one last time 🙂

Todays Gluten Free pasties are sold out. It’s pre-order only for next Friday so please order by end of Thursday at the latest.

Don’t forget tomorrow’s Saturday Special is our flavour bomb Pigs In Blankets Loaded Fries. Hand-rolled pigs in smoky bacon on top of crispy fries, topped with lashings of bacon gravy and - if you fancy it - stuffing and cranberry sauce. Limited number a aialbr as usual so pre order is recommended.

Huge thanks to everyone’s kind words and messages yesterday. To answer the most common question, it’s just a footfall thing. We get it though, the cost of living crisis is still with us and looking to get a bit worse and there’s a cutoff for every business where you need to make a hard decision. Every plate we serve is produce bought from local shops and suppliers within walking distance so we are proud to contribute directly to them - all we ask is that, if there’s a shop you’d hate to see close, if you can please pop in there instead as it really does make a huge difference. Our feedback has been 100% amazing so we know we’re doing the right thing but sadly not at the right time.

That said we’re not going quietly so for the next 2 weeks our favourites and much loved specials will be back - for example our pasties are so loved that many people buy and freeze them so that they have a stash (todays have already sold out - more every day)
