🍂 A little change to our morning opening times 🍂

From 1st October, we’ll be opening our doors from 8.30am ☕️

As we head into the quieter months, we’re making a small seasonal adjustment to our opening hours — but you can still expect the same great coffee, breakfasts, brunches, homemade cakes and plenty of cosy Calon vibes. 🤎

Our Brew Crew will be serving from 8.30–9am, so you can still pop in for your morning coffee and start the day with us.

Whether you’re joining us for breakfast, brunch, homemade cake or a catch-up with friends, we’ll see you from 8.30am.

From Thursday 1st October — open from 8.30am. ☕️🥐

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A VERY SPECIAL 5 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Yesterday was a pretty emotional day at Calon.

A few weeks ago, we had an Environmental Health inspection that didn’t quite go the way we’d hoped. It was hard. Really hard.

When you pour so much of yourself into your business, it’s difficult not to take something like that personally. There were definitely moments where I felt disappointed, frustrated and even questioned myself.But I picked myself back up, took everything on board and got to work.

Over the last few weeks we’ve worked hard behind the scenes to make small changes, improvements and make sure we were doing everything that was necessary.

And today, we had our revisit…

5 ⭐️

I honestly can’t tell you how much that means to me.

But this isn’t just my 5 ⭐️ — it’s OURS!

My amazing team have worked so hard alongside me, and I am incredibly proud of every single one of them. ❤️

Running a little independent café isn’t always as pretty behind the scenes as it looks from the other side of the counter. There are stressful days, long days, tears, doubts and plenty of moments where you wonder whether you’re getting it right.

Today was one of those days that made all of it worthwhile.

So tonight I’m celebrating my team, our little café and everyone who has supported us along the way.

We did it. 5 ⭐️ and feeling very, very proud. ❤️
