From the moment we reached out, your support and enthusiasm made everything feel that little bit easier. We’re incredibly grateful that you chose to be part of the evening.

There’s something special about seeing competitors, spectators, judges and friends all gathered together after the pours are done, sharing stories over good food. Your pizza helped create those moments.

p.s. we’re fairly certain some people came for the pizza and just happened to stay for the latte art competition.

To everyone who came along to watch, cheer, chat, and support — thank you.

A throwdown is nothing without the people around the stage. The applause after a great pour, the collective gasp when a pattern goes wrong, the conversations between rounds, and the encouragement given to complete strangers all helped create the atmosphere that made the night so special.

Whether you came to support a friend, learn a little more about coffee, or simply enjoy a pizza and a drink after work, we’re grateful you chose to spend your evening with us.

To all our competing baristas — thank you.

Thank you for signing up, stepping up to the stage, and putting yourselves out there. Whether it was your first throwdown or your fiftieth, we know it takes courage to pour in front of a crowd.

Some of you travelled a long way, some came straight from work, and some of you were probably questioning your life choices while pouring a swan (or turkey?) under pressure.

What made the evening special wasn’t who took home the prizes, but seeing so many people come together to share their love for the craft, cheer each other on, and celebrate the progress behind every pour. That said, congratulations to .pat, .explorer and Chris for taking home some cash and prizes on the night.

We hope you left feeling inspired, encouraged, and maybe with a few new friends too.

A huge thank you to our dearest judges — .jr_ , and — for travelling from near and far to spend the evening with us.

Thank you not only for judging, but for sharing your knowledge, experience, and passion with everyone in the room. One of the most rewarding parts of the night was hearing you explain what separates great latte art from good latte art — helping competitors and spectators alike see beyond the pattern itself and appreciate the skill, control, balance and intention behind every pour.

Not gonna lie, when Elton first came up with this idea, I thought it was going to be a small coffee event with a few friends.

Instead, it turned into a room full of people celebrating coffee, creativity, and each other.

A huge thank you to the team at Podium Place. Thank you for opening your doors to us, for all the support behind the scenes, for solving problems before we even knew they existed, and for making us feel completely at home.

As someone who usually ends up worrying about a hundred little details, it meant a lot knowing we had a team we could rely on.

Really excited to finally share this one with you all ☕️

Latte Art Throwdown in Newbury?
Yeah… we’re doing this

BrewBlood and are hosting a fun evening bringing baristas and coffee people together over good pours, good coffee, and a little bit of friendly pressure 🥛⚔️

The competition will challenge both basic and free pour skills across knockout rounds, with more rules to be revealed after sign up 👀

🍕 .uk will be joining us halfway through the night

Whether you’re competing or just coming to watch and hang out, we’d love to see some familiar faces there 🤝

Oh LCF… third year in already.

Most of the year we’re all hidden behind different bars across the country, stressing over shots, milk texture, margins and whether the grinder sounds “slightly different today”.

Then once a year everyone comes out the coffee cave and reunites here. Sharing incredible coffees, filling bags with samples and random goodies, exchanging brewing tips, catching up with familiar faces and somehow talking about coffee for 12 hours straight without getting bored.

Honestly the best part is seeing everyone still pushing, still caring, still chasing that golden cup every single day despite how tough this industry can get sometimes.

Another year survived.
Still caffeinated.
Still stubborn.
Still brewing.

We’ll be taking a tiny break from making your coffees on Thursday & Friday (14–15/5) because we’re heading to The London Coffee Festival ☕️

Elton will also be competing in the WPM x LCF Latte Art Throwdown, so naturally we’ll all be pretending not to be nervous.
