WINE MAN ~ The Post-Mallorca Detox 🍷☀️

Wine Man is back from Mallorca…and after a week of sun, sangria and far too many late nights on the terrace, even he’s ready for a little reset.

Enter Joerg Geiger… chef-inspired, alcohol-free sparkling cuvées from the Swabian Alb in Germany, crafted by trained chef Jörg Geiger, whose passion for old fruit varieties began wandering his family’s heirloom apple and pear orchards as a boy.

Geiger spent years perfecting drinks with the complexity of real wine - sweetness and acidity, tannin and depth - using fruit from old, characterful varieties still rich in blossom, herb and berry.

The result is Prisecco: sparkling sophistication, minus the hangover.

🍷 Rosé Cuvée - heritage meadow fruit blended with copper-stilled rose petals. An artisan, elegant alternative to wine, served chilled.

🍷 Cuvée 11 - unripe Boskoop apple juice with sweet vernal grass, oak, monarda, jasmine and vanilla, giving fresh apple, white flowers and a whisper of vanilla.

Sophisticated, food-friendly, and completely alcohol-free… this is your new go-to aperitif. Available across all of our pubs.

🥂 Individual 200ml bottles, £6.95 each. Wonderful alongside our Cheese Plate.

WINE MAN ~ A Day at Bodega Conde de Suyrot, Mallorca 🍷🇪🇸

Wine Man is in Mallorca…and this trip led somewhere special.

Tucked between the sea and the Tramuntana mountains in Colònia de Sant Pere, Artà, sits Bodega Conde de Suyrot - a small, family-run bodega with a French heart, Danish nuances, and a Mallorcan soul, crafted by Fabrice de Suyrot.

Every bottle here is made the old way: limited production, hand-tended vines, and a winemaking philosophy built on passion and intuition as much as science. The result? Elegant, characterful wines that taste like the island itself.

Wine Man has enjoyed a wine tasting of their five wines, and one in particular stole the show.

🌿 Es Fonoll Marí, Moscatell

Named after the sea fennel that grows wild along the coastline by the bodega’s own vineyards, Es Fonoll Marí is grown right by the sea, direct-pressed, fermented in temperature-controlled tanks, and rested for 5 months on its lees.

In the glass: pale, bright straw yellow, clean and luminous.

On the nose: lemon, honeysuckle, and white rose, with a soft touch of brioche.

To taste: dry, fresh, and succulent, with bright citrus juice, lemon peel, and Asian pear. Light-bodied with a delicate structure, finishing long on notes of lemon blossom.

A coastal white that drinks like the breeze it’s named after. It’s what Wine Man calls a 5 o’clock wine!

Give it a visit:📍 Bodega Conde de Suyrot, Carretera de Betlem, Km. 6, Colònia de Sant Pere, Artà, Mallorca
