❤️ What 10 Years of Namji Taught Me ❤️
Now that the doors of Namji have closed after 10 incredible years, I’ve finally had a moment to breathe and reflect.
Running a restaurant isn’t just about cooking food.
It’s about long nights, early mornings, sacrifices, challenges, and moments where you question everything.
But it’s also about people.
Over the last decade I’ve seen birthdays celebrated, friendships formed, families gathered around tables, and a community come together over a meal.
For me, Namji was always about more than just food. It was about values that were deeply rooted in my faith and in the way I was raised.
My mum always taught me that kindness and generosity should be reflected in the way you live and the work you do. That belief stayed with me throughout this journey.
As a Muslim, my faith has always reminded me of the importance of compassion, helping others, and serving the community — values that were taught by our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
That’s why, over the years, one of the things I will always be proud of is the quiet work we did behind the scenes — making sure that if someone came to us hungry, they would leave with a hot meal.
Namji was never just about a restaurant.
It was about people, kindness, and community.
This journey hasn’t always been easy, but the love and support from so many people kept me going.
Although this chapter has closed, I know in my heart that this isn’t the end of the story.
Sometimes in life you have to pause, regroup, and return stronger.
Thank you to everyone who walked this journey with me.
With love and gratitude,
