New Beginnings as we begin a new academic year.

We hand on stories of our faith. Stories about God's faithfulness. Stories of courage, love, grace, comfort and much more that we receive from God.

We hope for transformation, not just information. Yes, we love the uniforms, stationery and good results.

The most crucial thing as children go to school is to remember that God is with them and He loves them.

It is her "first" castle that has reached this height without the usual frustration she gets when the building blocks don't align well. She'd usually give up, cry and abandon the blocks.

Did you know that playing with blocks is one of the best ways for toddlers to learn math, physics, and problem-solving?

But let’s be real, it is also a masterclass in emotional regulation (for both of you! 😅).

When that tower tumbles at whatever stage, it is completely normal for frustration to take over. Their little hands are still catching up to their big imaginations! Next time a crash happens, try turning it into a game: "Boom! Let’s build it again!"

A brief morning stroll to the community library to spend just a tiny bit of time building bricks, identifying colours and signing up for the Summer Reading Challenge. We have done bit of online reading but we love physical books as it gives us an opportunity to dramatise and chat away.

A few minutes with a child to promote a reading culture goes a long way.

I know libraries aren't a thing in Nigeria but there are pockets of libraries coming up in major cities.

For us we hope to reach more coastal communities with organisations like and who are doing an amazing Book Start Program in Nigeria.

Someone is off to a Christian Camp for a few days. It is the first time away from family to be with diverse people.

To us, it is a step towards building independence. It is also an opportunity to see what independence looks like with additional needs away from family.

We have been doing a count down, we hope all goes well. We are also interesting in hearing the stories about encountering Christ.
