Soooo.... this was a 4 day turnaround 🙈

And yes… I keep doing this to myself 🤷🏼‍♀️😂

BUT… I couldn’t resist... I do love a heart cake 🥹💕

This was a 6 inch, 3 layer, finished in the prettiest soft pink swiss buttercream, with all the vintage-style piping, pearls, silver ribbon bows and a little personalised message in the centre ✨

Definitely one of those cakes that makes all the last-minute stress worth it 😍

This one is definitely for the chocolate lovers 🤎

A mix of two inspiration photos came together for this one (swipe to see!), with the customer wanting to bring the tie-dye effect into a chocolate cake design - I think it turned out pretty well! 😍

Wild ONE 🦁🌿✨

It's been a little while since I have done this theme! 💚

A 4-layer funfetti sponge filled with raspberry conserve & raspberry Swiss buttercream, finished in a Wild One theme 🦁🌿

Then to be sent these lovely words afterwards -

“Decoration was perfect and the taste was delicious! Everyone said how amazing it was.”

This is why I do what I do. 🥰

SO much time goes into every cake, from the baking and fillings, through to all those little finishing details — so hearing that it was loved both inside and out means so much 🥹🫶

Kitchen reset ✅️✨️

Every other week, the kitchen gets a proper deep clean — appliances, behind the appliances, pantry, cupboards… everything! It's super important for me to uphold my 5 🌟 rating

And ALSO… yes, THIS is my workspace 🙈

No fancy bakery. No huge kitchen. Just our little SFA kitchen (for anyone that doesn't know it stands for Service Family Accommodation) but it's my second one I'm proud to hold that 5 star rating in 🌟

It might be small, but it works (for now, I'll just keep dreaming of that fancy kitchen 🤣)

Heart cakes are still going strong 😍💜

So glad I decided to take the plunge and start offering these after declining so many enquiries before 🙈

It’s always nerve-wracking taking on something different — and these take me A LOT longer — but look at this one that went out over the weekend 🥹💜

Soft lilac, vintage piping, delicate pearl details and black ribbon bows 🖤✨

And inside was all chocolate 🍫🤎

And here she is, Mum's very special 60th cake 🥺💜

As we know I headed down to Devon Friday evening after work, taking the cake with me - clearly distance doesn't matter when you're the family baker too 🙈

I wanted to make her something really personal — so I designed this one completely around her and some of her favourite things - there’s a little bit of everything in there… including a chicken, because obviously there had to be a chicken 🤣🐔

The best part was seeing her reaction when she finally saw it 🥹🤍
(Yes, there were tears, stay tuned for the video!)

AND after all that… it survived the 4.5 hour journey from Kent to Devon 🚗🙌

Last night we said goodbye to my lovely Grandad. 🥺💛

I’ll be taking a little bit of time over the weekend to be with my family, so I may be a little quieter than usual and slower replying to messages. I hope you’ll understand. 🤍

I’m actually heading down to Devon tonight for my mum’s 60th birthday, and I’ve made her a very special cake to take with us which was completed yesterday 🥺
This weekend will be so bittersweet and also a reminder that anything is around the corner 💔

Grandad absolutely LOVED his cakes and puddings — lemon was his favourite & I'll always think of him whenever I’m making a lemon cake from now on 🥺

Here is a photo of him enjoying a lemon cupcake, his words 'that's the best lemon cake I have ever had!' Along with the grandkids in January which was the last time we were together 💔

Behind the cakes, orders and social media, there’s a real person and a family too 🫶
