WE'RE STILL LOOKING!

We're still looking for the perfect candidate to join our team.

Role will include;

- Supporting the head Chef with day to day running of the kitchen
- Assisting with seasonal menu creation
- Assisting with EHO relevant paperwork
- Covering for Holidays
- Helping maintain our 5* Hygiene rating
- Working closely with FoH team to provide excellent hospitality
- Working as part of our close-knit team

The ideal candidate will be some with;

- Relative kitchen experience (as either a Sous level, or a CDP wanting to make the jump!)
- Driven to help achieve our goal of excellent hospitality
- A team player!
- Have a full UK driving licence

OPEN MIC NIGHT!

Sunday 13th of September.

From 7pm - 9.30pm

Singer/Songwriter, Acoustic band, poetry, comedian? Whatever you fancy, pop down, we'll have a mic, an amp, and an open space for you to perform.

Every performer will get a pint or two on us, if you're interested in playing, drop us a message!

This is a first run, so bare with us while we work out the details, but it should be good fun!!

If you want food beforehand, we STRONGLY suggest booking early.

Our Mezze bowl, a great starter on its own, it also doubles up as a perfect sharer while you wait for your mains!

It's been popular so far, it's all trendy and that, at least that's what the youngens that work here tell us...

Hailing from the Med, this is a corker for the weather we're having again!

8.30pm start for the quiz!

As usual, want food beforehand? Book yourselves a table, and you'll keep it for the night!

Team sizes? 6 people, MAXIMUM, you're smart enough, you dont need the extra brains.

Entry price? £2 per person

Prizes? Cash pot split between the top teams and sometimes something a little extra!

MAINS AWAY!

Double Chicken photos for the start of the new menu...

Pan Fried Chicken Supreme, this was a staff favourite at our tasting yesterday.

Served with Nduja fondant potato, spiced roasted vegetables, and a chorizo cream sauce.

Hearty, succulent Chicken (for those that have had our Sunday lunch/dinner you know what you're getting), light Nduja spice runs through every part of this dish, warming you from head to toe!

We're a small, dedicated team, looking to provide excellent quality food to not only our local community but also to West Cumbria as a whole.

Our focus has always been quality, and that's what we're looking for in our next Kitchen team member.

We're open Wednesday to Sunday, so you always get 2 days off together.

This is Hugh.

Hugh the Sous, he has been with us since the day we opened, a full 3.5 years.

He's created some of our all-time favourite starters, bakes our breads (Hands up if you've had his focaccia!), makes the HFC, and takes his padel far too seriously.

At the end of September, Hugh is spreading his wings and moving abroad, and we're taking this opportunity to wish him all the best!!

This means a couple of things,

1 - We have an open position to fill in the Kitchen for an experienced chef - we'll post more details here later (but it's currently up on Indeed if you wanna look)

2 - While we're posting about the new menu and everything else, we'll also be doing a look back at some of Hugh's favourite dishes he's done!
