Please show your support where ever/however possible. Big or small every thing helps. These are such challenging times as it is let along having to deal with vandalism.
Saigon Lotus bringing so much warmth, spirit and not forgetting amazing food to our town.

Sometimes, it takes a challenging moment to remind us how much love truly surrounds us.
At Saigon Lotus today, I witnessed the magic of community spirit β each act of kindness warming my heart and bringing tears of joy to my eyes. π
What a day to remember. From neighbours and friends to kind strangers, Middleton came together to lift us up β proving that community spirit is alive and strong when we stand together. β€οΈ
As we open for eat-in and takeaway from 11:30 am to 4:00 pm tomorrow Wednesday, 8/10, I canβt wait to welcome you all back to Saigon Lotus β where love, care, kindness, and community spirit shine the brightest. πΈ

πΈ A Day Filled with Love and Kindness π
At exactly 11:30 on the dot today, customers began walking through our door. 12:00 noon, our customers gradually filled most the tables and chairs β even though Tuesday is usually our day off. Each one came with love, understanding, and compassion after the incident damaging Saigon Lotusβ shutter and pavement signage last Saturday, involving a group of teenagers in Middleton Gardens.
An elderly lady slowly made her way toward me, holding a Β£5 note in her hand. She gently placed it in mine and said, βThis is for your shutter,β before turning to leave with a warm smile and a little wave. I insisted on offering her a hot meal, but she told me she was in a rush and would come back one day to dine with us instead. I gave her a warm hug β and tears filled my eyes. In that simple, tender moment, I truly felt the spirit of community.
Later, Simon β the singer from our last Open Mic Charity Night β came by with a contribution from the money he just sold his hand painting in the morning, he also gave us a bunch of his beautiful hand painting art prints of Middleton to be sold at Saigon Lotus. He gifted them all towards our shutter fund.
Peter, our good friend from Rotary Middleton and his friend had big lunch to support us. Bernard Wynne from the Middleton Independents Party also stopped by with his donation and kind words to show us their kind support.
Even our volunteer heroes β who often struggle themselves and whom I usually treat to free meals β insisted on paying for a full meal today to support us. Their gesture touched me deeply. π
Lisaβs little boy β the son of Munchies CafΓ©βs owner β came by today with her kind words and a thoughtful donation. I gave him a thank-you kiss and a little treat β a spring roll and a lantern. He walked away with the sweetest smile that truly brightened my day. π
Friends and family β not only from Middleton but from nearby towns as well β came for lunch and shared their encouragement.
Our neighbours popped in with lunch orders and warm words of care β every gesture filled with genuine kindness.
Everyone was so patient and kind, chatting with each other about community spirit while waiting for their food and drinks.
Throughout the day, my heart has been overflowing with love and kindness from the people of Middleton and beyond.
I have never once regretted relocating our business here. Today reminded me that a place only becomes your true home when the community you live in truly cares for one another. π
From the bottom of our hearts β thank you, Middleton and friends from other towns, for wrapping us in your love and kindness. Youβve made Saigon Lotus feel like home. β€οΈ
With Love, Respect, and Gratitude,
Thi and Saigon Lotus team
