And here’s another reason why! 🤠

🎅 OUR FIRST SANTA BAG IS FULL! 🎅

Our ‘One More Present’ appeal in support of Fife Gingerbread is off to a wonderful start, thanks to the generosity of the lovely folk who have been dropping gifts into Lily’s.

Every year, we’re reminded just how lucky we are to be part of this wee community. People who quietly do lovely things for others, often without wanting any recognition or thanks.

We’re hoping to fill plenty more Santa bags between now and Christmas, so if you’d like to get involved, we’d be absolutely delighted!

🎁 We’re collecting new, unused toys, books, games and gifts for children and young people of all ages. And please don’t forget the older kids and teenagers!

One extra present seems like a small thing, but imagine what we can do when a whole village comes together🧡

A massive thank you to everyone who’s contributed so far, you really are a wonderful bunch.

🥣 TODAY’S HOMEMADE SOUP AT LILY’S! 🧡

Curried Roasted Cauliflower Soup

We’ve given one of our favourite soups a wee twist today!

Fresh cauliflower, gently roasted with warming curry spices until golden and slightly caramelised, then blended with leeks, onions and celery to create a beautifully smooth, creamy soup.

Rich, warming, gently spiced and full of flavour… without a drop of cream!

Perfect for a wee autumn lunch, served with lovely fresh bread. 🧡

Our Portuguese Supper Club is filling up fast, with just six places remaining for Saturday 14th November!

We absolutely love putting on these evenings at Lily’s. 🧡

There’s something really special about seeing folk sitting around our tables, sharing food, chatting, laughing and getting to know one another.

One of the loveliest compliments we regularly receive is how much people enjoy the way our Supper Clubs are set out. Whether you’re coming with friends, as a couple or on your own, there’s always a warm welcome and good company to be found.

And that’s exactly what we love about them. Bringing people together, making new friends and strengthening those wee connections within our community.

It really is our pleasure to host them. 🧡

🇵🇹 And this time, we’re off to Portugal!

We’ve put together a lovely menu inspired by Portuguese flavours, from traditional Caldo Verde soup and Piri Piri chicken to hearty Feijoada, punched potatoes and creamy Arroz Doce.

And, of course, we’ll be finishing with freshly brewed coffee and those gorgeous little Portuguese custard tarts — Pastéis de Nata! 😍

There’s a full vegetarian alternative too, so nobody misses out on the feast.

I am looking forward to bringing my pop up book shop to Lily's Larder on the 6th and 7th November!

I’ll have a lovely selection of Usborne books from baby all the way up to young adult fiction. I will also bring a catalogue should anyone wish to browse through the entire range while enjoying a cuppa!
