Chef Tiberius is back and along with him is a new lunch menu.

We know have an £11 meal deal which comes with a choice of Brisket, Lamb or Chicken, served with chips/tater tots, gravy and pitmaster slaw, you can also choose to combine 2 out of the 3 meats for a mix.

Now that I have tried all 3 meats I thought it was best to review and I have to say, straight off the bat this is a significant improvement on the tired old menu which had dropped in quality over the last couple of years.

For me, the Brisket is the clear winner, expertly smoked, very tender and juicy and great flavour, if I had to rank them the chicken would come second with the lamb third.

All are good, but for me the lamb although cooked well, has an off putting taste that is really strong on rosemary.

I would highly recommend you all to come give this new menu a try and if you're lucky, you'll see the Chef himself serving you the food from his station in front of the main bar.

Check out the classic double wagyu beef burger from .brgr and keep swiping to see the doner and wagyu loaded fries 😍

Friday nights meal this week was courtesy of .brgr which is a home kitchen serving up made to order food for collection on the weekend, check out their insta page for their menu and how to place your order.

Let's get to the food and I have to say, it didn't disappoint, the burger was simple but effective. The beef was cooked well, tender and the stacked sauce gave it great flavour, I liked the fact the burger wasn't the usual smashed burger, it had a bit more thickness to it and felt more substantial.

I ordered the loaded fries mainly to try their doner, it can be added to the burger as an extra, but I didn't want to customise the burger as I wanted to taste it in its true form in order to properly judge the quality.

However the doner fries were great, for a home kitchen I did wonder if the doner would stand up to scrutiny as I assume it wouldn't be a typical rotisary doner, probably a pre made frozen version of some sort, whatever it was it was great and I would happily add it to the burger next time.

Overall I would give the food we ate a 4/5, it's not perfection, I have had better burgers but these so called better burgers have over time fallen from grace, the proof for me is in the longevity and consistency over time.

I also feel the menu needs something that is unique to them that keeps you coming back, currently their competitors offer more and unfortunately the journey to Stacked doesn't stack up for me when I could go to TMP or bun and sum.

The downfall of Cristinas over the last couple of years has been clear for all to see, however today was a new low and stark reminder of how far they have fallen.

The roast which used to be £10 and delicious is now £14 and terrible. The lamb lacked any sort of flavour and was chewy.

We got a smash burger for the kids and that was dry and tasteless, even their chips are a disappointment.

It's sad to see, being a local I used to be proud to have such a quality steakhouse in my neighbourhood, now I would steer clear of it.

The Flapper from a combination of deep fried Chicken Breast Fillet and double smash beef patties in a brioche bun, doused in their signature sauce and melted cheese.

Presentationaly the burger was spot on, it looked the part and was generous in size considering the £9.99 price tag.

I opted for the flapper over just a smash as I am a bit fed up of smash burgers and was skeptical they could match the top smash burgers around at the moment, so in order to disguise a potential disappointment I opted for a combo burger which I felt would mask any shortcomings.

And that was exactly what it did, as a burger the flapper did the job and satisfied my hunger, the burger as a whole tasted fine, nothing special but not bad either. Delve a bit deeper and you realise that individually the burger contents were substandard.

The fillet was mostly breadcrumb, very thin and crispy and lacking that thick moist breast chicken. The smash patties looked dry, and they tasted dry, the sauce masks this, but the beef itself lacked flavour and lacked that grease you get from fatty meat that gives the beef its flavour and moistness.

The burger was average, as I stated before not bad not great either, it's a shame they went down the smash burger route as the competition in that market currently is fierce and you're always gonna struggle to make yours stand out.

I upgraded my fries for their loaded fries which were actually pretty good, topped with chunks of the fillet chicken, cheese and their signature sauces, it was just right, some loaded fries can be overloaded with sauce and topping that you just loose the chips.

Overall unfortunately this wouldn't be a place I'd be shouting about or recommending to anyone, it's quite expensive and the quality doesn't match the price, it's just not worth going out of your way for to visit.

2.5/5 bang average.

Childhood memories brought to life at Parkers in Dubai (branches located in La Mer and Dubai Mall) with the Matilda Cake.

Yes its that mouthwatering chocolate fudge cake that poor old Brucy was forced to chow down in front of the whole class as his punishment.

The question is can you do the same? Well this is just a slice and it costs 73AED which is roughly £16 at the time of posting. This might seem a lot for a slice of cake, but I kid you not, this slice could feed an entire family.

The cake was one of the best cakes I've ever had, so moist, so delicious, yet not sickeningly sweet like some desserts can get, a must try if you're in Dubai and I really wish it makes its way over to here very soon, I'm feeling a slice right about now.

have moved locations, they are now on green St, with much more seating and room to host larger groups.

We went down last week with a group of 10 plus and were comfortably seated.

The burgers here are still as solid as ever, great tasting and good value for money considering the price of smash burgers these days.

The fried crispy wings or even the grilled wings were both great and I would definitley order again, for me the crispy ones edge it.

The only issue was with the slow service, took a long time for the food to come out considering we were the only table there, there were also some mistakes with the order, but nothing major that they didn't sort out swiftly.

Overall in regards to the taste, I would give it a solid 4/5 and would go back more often in the future.

The full English from the in Ilford.

A solid breakfast spot, well presented, good tasting hearty meal. I've always preferred Pie Republic to Pie Factory for the pies but I think Pie Factory do the better breakfast.

For me a breakfast spot has to deliver something you can't easily rustle up at home, the frozen sausages and Hashbrowns anyone can do, but a good quality gourmet sausage and fresh fruit and veg are not always readily available at home and that's what you pay for by going out.

Solid 4/5 for the full English, what's your favourite breakfast spot?

The Chicken Tikka Thigh burger, normally a very good alternative to their outstanding smash burger.

Being thigh meat rather than breast, the burger is usually a lot more moist and soft, however the bricklane branch of chicos really made a hash of this.

It was overcooked making it a bit dry and chewy, overall the taste wasn't the same either, it was a bit muted usually its bursting with flavour.

Overall I was left disappointed by my meal on this occasion and it was the same across the board with the other dishes ordered by my friends, was it just a one-off bad day? Or is the bricklane branch just not up to the standards of East ham? Time will tell.

Dinos Cafe in Cardiff is a halal Cafe/Restaurant serving home comforts such as pies, jacket potatoes and of course full English breakfast.

Great value and great quality, I would definitley recommend this if you're looking for a halal Diner in Cardiff.
