When the Balkan heat arrives, the tables fill with meze, dips, fresh bread, grilled vegetables, salty cheese, olives and long lazy conversations. From Turkey to Greece, North Macedonia, Bulgaria and across the whole Balkan coast and countryside — this is how we eat in summer. Light, colourful, made for sharing and made for hot weather.

And with this beautiful weather, it feels like the perfect time for a slice of spanakopita — spinach, feta, herbs, wrapped in delicate filo and baked until perfectly crisp. Simple pleasures, Balkan style. ☀️🥬✨ OR Sesame ring fried egg, spiced beans, feta, bacon & herbs. Almost full English but Balkan style.

There’s something about beef ćevapi that no fancy food trend could ever replace. Those little grilled sausages arrive hot, smoky, tucked into soft lepinja bread, with onions on the side and kajmak melting into every bite — and suddenly you’re not just eating, you’re remembering. Summer evenings, loud family tables, roadside grills somewhere between North Macedonia and Slovenia, music playing, friends talking over each other, somebody ordering “can we have 10 more.”

It’s the taste of the Balkans. Of Ex-Yugoslavia. Rustic, homely, indulgent, unapologetically delicious.

And when you find real beef ćevapi in London? That first bite hits differently. It brings memories back instantly — the good times, the warmth, the feeling of home far away from home. Everybody says, “Oh, they’re just little sausages.” But people from the Balkans know better. Ćevapi are tradition. Identity. Comfort. A whole culture on a plate.

Once you try proper beef ćevapi, there’s no way back.

Beef ćevapi forever on the menu — dinner, brunch, late nights, always.

Maybe use your hands. That’s how we eat them.

Bye bye carrots… you’ll be missed from the menu. So simple, so tasty, so colourful.

A new season is just around the corner though, and we’ve got lots of good things coming soon 🌿

Meanwhile, the charred greens are still going strong — and honestly, they might just be our favourite thing on the menu right now. Full of flavour, texture, and all the good stuff. Please do give them a try 💚
