This spring, we’ve dialled up the island flavours on our menu. Come try our new dishes, made to transport you to our favourite place:

🎣 Fried Gavros – crisp fried white anchovies that Greeks enjoy in the warmer months with a glass of ouzo
🍅 Pastitsio from the Ionian Islands AKA Greek Lasagne
🐟 Grilled Sea Bream, a souvlaki dish served with our new light, creamy potato salad
🐑 Lamb Meatballs in a rich tomato sauce with garlic and thyme, topped with just a little Greek yoghurt
🫑 Chickpea Salad in a tangy vinaigrette with mixed peppers, crisp red onion, dill, sumac and a dollop of vegan yoghurt

Melitzanosalata begins with fire — whole aubergines blistering over open flames. If you don't have a gas hob or barbecue, you can cook them in the oven (for about an hour), but in Greece we cook them over fire until the skin is blackened and the insides are silky.

When they're ready, scoop out the smoky aubergine flesh and mix with garlic, red wine vinegar, and seasoning. We like to add red onion and parsley too!

Serve with an olive in the middle and pass it around without counting who took more 🫶

In Greece, today is called Clean Monday or Καθαρά Δευτέρα. To celebrate the beginning of Lent, families share all kinds of seafood alongside vegetarian meze and always some Taramasalata.

We love the slow dining culture – meals dotted with conversation where you want to taste a bit of everything. At Yiayia's table, there's never just one cold meze, so we launched the dip trio with your pick of three. ⁠

Triple dip for £12⁠. Choose from Tzatziki, Whipped Spicy Feta, Taramasalata and Houmous 🫓 Served with warm Greek flatbread⁠.⁠

Pancake Day just got more Greek! 🥞

Tiganites (τηγανίτες) are one of the earliest recorded types of pancakes in the world. Made with flour and yeast and fried in olive oil, they taste like something between American pancakes and doughnuts.

Serve the traditional way with honey, cinnamon and walnuts.

A Real Greek love story ❤️⁠

Eleni and Antrian first met at The Real Greek, Soho, five years ago. He was a Supervisor, she was a KP. They felt a spark, but the KP life wasn’t for Eleni and she moved on before anything could materialise.⁠

A year later, Eleni returns to TRG, this time as a Front of House Team Member at our Bankside restaurant. And who’s recently transferred there but Antrian!⁠

Fast forward to November 2025 and they both book three weeks’ annual leave. What for, you ask? You guessed it – a fairytale wedding back in Greece. ⁠

Antrian was recently promoted to General Manager at our St. Martin’s Lane restaurant, but we moved Eleni’s shift there for a cheeky photoshoot. These two are one of many couples both working at The Real Greek. Shall we share another story next Valentine’s Day?⁠
