For my 1000th Instagram post, it felt poignant to take a moment to reflect on my journey so far.
It's been a journey filled with countless highs and lows. I've been humbled, challenged and continually amazed by the opportunities I've worked hard to create and secure. Along the way, I've built a resilience to rejection and learnt that not every opportunity is worth accepting. Work doesn't always have to be on a client's terms or solely to their advantage.
Marcus Garvey's words resonate deeply with me because they reflect a belief I hold close to my heart: that African culture is rich, valuable and always worthy of respect.
I'm not at the top of my game just yet, but if you know me, you'll know that I'm committed to the process. I'll keep working, keep learning and keep showing up.
Here's to 1,000 posts—and to everything that's still to come.
