This industry moves fast.
It’s early mornings and late nights, the rhythm of service, the pressure of the pass, the quiet focus of prep, and the constant desire to do things better than yesterday.

But today I’m not thinking about the pressure.
Today I’m thinking about the women.

The women I met in kitchens who taught me discipline and resilience.
The women in FOH who move through a dining room with elegance even when the night is falling apart.
The women in the office making the impossible schedules, the numbers, the logistics somehow work.

BOH, FOH, pastry, managers, porters, sommeliers, admin, every corner of this industry holds women who care deeply about what they do.

Some of them taught me.
Some of them challenged me.
Some of them simply stood next to me during service and made the hard days lighter.

What I learned along the way is that strength in this industry doesn’t always look loud.
Sometimes it looks like showing up again for another service.
Sometimes it looks like supporting another woman.
Sometimes it’s just knowing someone else in the room understands exactly how hard this work can be.
Dance together, sing together and smile together!

So today I’m grateful.
Grateful for every woman I met through this job, for every shared service, every lesson, every moment of support.

This industry is stronger because you’re in it.

At the end of a chaotic week, I baked a Brown butter Thai tea mochi cake for a charity bake sale supporting



Didn’t have the time. Did it anyway. Some things matter more.

Doing this alongside the team behind ( ) at and a room full of generous lovely people reminded me why hospitality is more than service, it’s care and people!

“In Gita” Bangkok edition: 🇹🇭😎

traffic that wants me dead, lights brighter than my future, tuk tuks drifting like Fast & Furious Bangkok Drift, I’ve eaten enough pad Thai to qualify for residency.
Then I clean up for the most amazing dinner at with Chef for the twins’ birthday with , like a classy woman.
Also thanks to my friend who sent me to 100000/10 and many more places!!
