At The Petersham, our Sommeliers are passionate about sharing the rich histories behind the wines we love.

Discover Parusso’s Barolos, wines with a rich history that dates back to 1901, when Gaspare Parusso planted vines in Barolo’s prestigious Mariondino ‘cru.’ Today, the estate spans 22 hectares across Barolo’s most sought after plots, including Bussia and Le Coste.

Known for their perfect balance of approachability and exceptional ageing potential, Parusso’s wines pair beautifully with the refined dishes of our menu.

Join us for an evening celebrating the exceptional wines of CVNE, one of Rioja’s most esteemed wineries on Thursday 27th February at 7pm. Since 1879, this family-run estate has been a pioneer in shaping the identity of Rioja, producing wines that embody tradition, craftsmanship, and a deep respect for the land.

Throughout the evening, guests will enjoy a curated selection of five outstanding wines, each thoughtfully paired with a bespoke menu crafted by our Head Chef. Among the highlights is Imperial Gran Reserva, the flagship cuvée that has defined CVNE’s legacy. This iconic wine, named World’s Best Wine in 2013 by Wine Spectator, is only produced in years of exceptional harvests, capturing the essence of Rioja Alta’s terroir with remarkable elegance and depth.

Beyond Rioja, CVNE has expanded into other renowned Spanish regions, and we are delighted to showcase wines that demonstrate their expertise across the country. Guests will enjoy a refined Cava bottled under their Roger Goulart label, alongside a Godello from Castilla y León, a vibrant, mineral-driven white with expressive character and a beautifully rich texture.

The evening will culminate with a rare opportunity to compare two exceptional vintages of CVNE Imperial Gran Reserva—the 2009 and 2015—allowing guests to explore how time and terroir shape this remarkable wine.

Join us at The Petersham as we celebrate Chinese New Year with our cherished guests.

From Monday 27th January, to Sunday 2nd February, every guest coming to enjoy our fan-favourite Afternoon Tea will receive a special red envelope with a surprise gift at the end of their visit. Our florists have also created a beautiful Chinese-inspired floral bouquet to adorn the tea stand. As a token of our appreciation, we invite guests to bring this decoration home with them.
