According to a folktale, the operator of an impoverished shop (or inn, tavern, temple, etc.) took in a starving stray cat despite barely having enough to feed himself. Voted one of the world’s Top 50 Genius Companies by Time Magazine
Founded by Sarah Collins in 2008, the Wonderbag was developed as a solution to the South African energy shortage forcing blackouts across the country - with the aim of allowing families to continue cooking daily meals even with the absence of power.

Inspired by a method her grandmother had used in the 1970s to help save power when cooking, and similar to the concept of a haybox - which was used to keep food warm and preserve fuel during World War Two - Sarah first tested her idea by surrounding a pan of hot food with cushions after she had turned off the stove.

The brainwave was a success, and to her amazement the food had continued to cook for several hours! From here, Sarah developed the Wonderbag and started taking them into communities to see first-hand the impact they could have. The reaction from the women was overwhelming, and Sarah knew straight away that this simple idea had the potential to change billions of lives around the world.

Linda Marr is a distinguished potter with a rich artistic journey, holding a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ceramics from the California College of Arts and Crafts. Her pursuit of artistic excellence led her to further studies in New York and London, refining her skills and expanding her creative horizons.

Known for her expertise in thrown ceramics, Linda has recently ventured into the world of slip casting, with a particular focus on porcelain. Her exploration of multi-media works, combining clay with materials like feathers and rope, reflects her innovative approach to contemporary ceramics.

Linda’s work has found its place in private collections and is celebrated in prominent exhibitions, including the 2024 Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, Handmade in Britain, and the Oxford Ceramics Fair. In 2023, she was honored with the Judges’ Award at the London Potters Exhibition at the Morley Gallery.

Creating in her personal studio, Linda continues to push the boundaries of ceramics, producing unique pieces that invite both admiration and reflection.

Aye Aye! is a family of rugged, round and bold cast iron candleholders inspired by the time of adventure and discovery, when the enthusiasm of the Industrial Revolution revealed the world to travellers and fortune seekers. The fleet is composed of four sizes – from a small tugboat with one funnel to a hefty steamship with four big ones. All navy-themed colours are available: red, blue, black and grey. Each funnel is designed to fit either a tea-light candle for cosy harbour lighting or a taper candle as a pillar of steam. Aye Aye! vessels can be combined in any size and number and create various themes that will be easy to adjust to different happenings and backgrounds.
