I had a vision to share my herbal remedies and open my shop in the Spring of 2025, in harmony with nature - as seedlings sprout out of the soil, my offerings would emerge from my mind and into the world. The experience that things don’t always go the way and the time we plan them is very humbling, as is the belief that things always turn out how they are supposed to. The dreams and the visions are important, as is the letting go of expectation of when and how they will materialise.

2025 has been a challenging year in many ways - there’s been heartache, losses, shedding but also expansion and beauty and wonder; you may have experienced this too? I feel very content and grateful to have been able to finish the year by birthing this beautiful offering of mine and share these remedies with you - bringing trust, beauty and courage into the future.

As we move towards the Winter solstice, now is time to rest, nourish and bring the energy inwards. With the last orders now shipped, I am taking a Winter break ❄️ All orders places now will be shipped 7th February 2026.

Sending you wishes for nourishment, courage and some sweetness. Get outside this weekend if you are able - our presence in nature is often the answer ✨

Thank you for your support, for commenting and sharing after my announcement last weekend. I am feeling so much gratitude to be making these herbal preparations to share with you 💚

They are handcrafted in ritual and are moving in rhythm with the seasons - picking blossoms and leaves in Spring and Summer; drying or infusing them in Summer and Autumn; bundling up packages in the Winter. I hand wrap every package, with attention to detail thinking of you as you open it 💖

I know the plants, I know where and when they grow, I visit them often and I listen to them. I grow some, and the connection starts with my hands in the soil and the sewing of the seed into the earth. I witness their blossoming each year with awe, I see them go into seed before letting go as Winter comes. My little one is always with me, and he too learns from them.

A bottle or jar may look beautiful but it is more than herbs blended together. It is infused by the memory of picking the leaves on a sunny morning, the daily ritual of shaking and infusing the remedy with love, the energy of the sun as it beamed through the jar of oil. And it will be made alive through the ritual you will start with it.

This seasonal drop includes herbal infusions, balms and tinctures - a line of herbal infusions dedicated to women, to support in all cycles of womenhood, including motherhood and menopause. There are balms to support the skin in the gentlest way and to help you drift into sleep. And there are tinctures to support emotional wellbeing, vitality and the immune system.

I hope you can feel the love, presence and attention in these herbal remedies. If you’re hoping to gift some of these, add a note when you order on the website and I will write a personalised message from you to them. Deep gratitude for your support, it is felt in so many ways and warms my heart.

The last shipping of the year will be Saturday 21st December.

With the first snowflakes of the season greeting my morning, it seemed more than appropriate to crack open the jar of quince butter I made a few days back to make the first mince pies (or quince pies 😉) of the year.

Christmas music was on, the kitchen smelt and felt festive and my little guy baked and tasted his first ever mince pie. Joy 🤍

Autumn baking means deep colours, rich flavours and dense textures.

This beauty is an apple and chestnut cake with miso date caramel and a cacao butter ganache which I baked a few weeks back for a client’s event.

Now that we are in the middle of November, onto Christmas baking… I see you spiced biscuits and mince pies 👀

Raindrops are hitting the windows creating a seasonal chime, there’s a colder chill in the air. Winter is on its way. It’s time to store our energy with warming, grounding foods using ingredients that take longer to cook and whose colours bring balance to the longer dark hours.

Buttercup squash, butter beans, ginger and turmeric soup with a digestive sprinkle - toasted coriander, cumin and fennel seeds with whole h**p seeds and sea salt, kimchi and nasturtium leaves and blossoms.

Here’s to a nourishing and smooth transition 🍂❄️

Food styling and presentation musings. A couple of delightful days in the kitchen teaching two new cohorts of students alongside teaching phone photography.

I just adore teaching this class. Plating food is more than adding elements to a plate, it’s more than thinking about textures and height and colours. It’s more than adding pretty flowers or creating fun shapes with a custard.

It is leaving our trace, our signature to a dish. At first, we are not quite sure how we want to go about it, so we take inspiration from others, from nature, from the ingredients and with time and practice, we develop our own unique signature and embody it.

Autumn is slowly settling in, with its scents of the forest floor, colourful vegetables and fruits, hearty dishes and sweet treats. What joy!

At this time of year, you can find me between the kitchen and walking around, gathering rosehips, hawthorn berries, elderberries to make up herbal concoctions to support the body in this transition, making tarts with the abundance of apples, slow cooking quince, sipping on broths, warming up with stews and congee and hot chocolates by the fire.

How about you, what does an Autumn day look like?

Autumn Equinox scenes 🍁✨ 🕯️

Letting in the light crack through the darkness, welcoming the darker days while continuing to shine our light. Embracing the slowness of Autumn when everything unfolds at the pace it’s supposed to, trusting the balance in nature and its cycles. Making meals warmer, lighting a candle at the table, smiling and savouring a piece of chestnut and apple cake for breakfast drizzled with elderberry syrup and cherry compote.

Bakes from the weekend - two carrot cakes with pistachio and an orange blossom icing, one black sesame cake with plum compote and black sesame icing.

I really thought hard about the finish on those two, which were ordered by a daughter for her dad’s 60th birthday. I don’t have a “signature decoration” as such, I like to create and I am inspired by the ingredients, the season and what nature looks like at the time of making the cake, and by the person it’s made for. It means I can get my creativity flow freely. In the end, I decided to go simple, with some crushed pistachios and orange zest for the carrot cakes and half moon piping with compote for the black sesame one. I feel like simplicity often reflects the natural rhythm of life and nature - as years go by, we tend to appreciate and see the beauty in the simplicity and the delicate.
