If you think you knew how to make a goood one, read this first!

Coffee is small science in a cup ☕, controlled by three main factors. Get these items dialed in and you'll be drinking a perfect cup each and every time.

1️⃣ Be Precise With The Water
There are 3 elements to control regarding the water; temperature, flavor and volume.

Temperature: The water should be at 205 degrees (or just under boil) so it extracts all the natural flavors in the coffee.
Flavor: The water should have no off flavors. Filtered water is the simplest way to stay consistent.
Volume: 360 grams of water for a 12 oz cup.

2️⃣ Keep The Grind Consistent
Regardless of your brewing method, grind consistency is key. Determine what you like and keep that dialed in.

Volume is another area for consistency. Try using 26 grams of coffee. Either weigh your beans or your grind.

3️⃣ Freshness Of The Roast
Coffee is at its peak within a few days after roasting. Store coffee in an airtight container to maintain freshness. Use specific bags which has a press and close pocket zipper that acts as its own airtight container.

Cheers. Enjoy your coffee

Did you know?

1. A year drinking coffee or an iPhone📱? Americans on average spend $1000-1500 a year on coffee. That’s around $20-30 a week. That is also close to the price of the newest iPhone. Young people generally spend more on coffee than older people.

2. It was said that coffee was discovered by a goat herder in Ethiopia in the 1500s. He saw his goats eating coffee cherries. Afterwards, he observed a change in their behavior; they gained a high amount of energy and they didn’t sleep at night. After local monks made their own drink from coffee beans, they realized they could stay up all night and pray. Word spread to other Ethiopian monks and soon after reached all across the civilized world.

3. Hawaii is the only American state that grows coffee. Good coffee growing conditions are dependent on variables such as high altitudes, tropical climates and rich soil. It has been producing coffee even before it was a state.

4. Add cream, keep your coffee warm. Coffee stays warm 20% longer when you add cream. We reckon it might have something to do with the principle that makes hot water more suitable for making ice cubes than cold water when you’re in a hurry to cool down your fresh beverage.

5. Italian “expresso”. The word espresso comes from Italian and means “expressed” or “forced out”. Espresso is made by forcing very hot water under high pressure through finely ground, compacted coffee.

Is Coffee Good for You?

Yes! But it depends on the kind of coffee and the quantity.

We’ve come a long way from the cans of Folgers that filled our grandparents’ cupboards, with our oat milk lattes, cold brews and Frappuccinos ☕

In examining more than 200 reviews of previous studies, the authors observed that most of the time, coffee was associated with a benefit, rather than a harm.

Just the right amount can improve our mood; too much may make us feel anxious and jittery.

In moderation, coffee seems to be good for most people — that’s 3 to 5 cups daily, or up to 400 milligrams of caffeine 👍

However, as professionals, we don't recommend to consuming coffee to pregnants and people with heart conditions, panic attacks, sleep disorders.

What about you, how much coffee do you consume on a daily basis?
