Originally from Sri Lanka 🇱🇰, Sankalpa has been part of the Empire family for 2½ years and is a valued member of our kitchen team.

Sankalpa works across both the Empire Hotel and Osborne House kitchens, helping to create the delicious meals our guests enjoy. 🍽️❤️
Whether he’s busy behind the scenes at the Empire or working his magic over at Osborne House, Sankalpa is always part of the team making sure our guests are well fed and looked after!

Some people become part of the furniture… and some become part of the soundtrack! ❤️

For an incredible 50 YEARS, Simon has been spinning the decks at our winter season Saturday night discos here at the Empire Hotel! 🕺💃

From vinyl records to modern-day decks, Simon has seen it all and has kept generations of guests dancing, singing and having a fantastic night.

His music, energy and dedication have made him a much-loved part of the Empire family, and after five decades, he’s still doing what he does best — keeping that dance floor moving! 🎶

So here’s to Simon, our ‘Everlasting’ DJ, and 50 years of fantastic music, happy memories and Saturday nights at the Empire! 🥂🎧

Nothing is ever too much trouble for Nuri, and his hardworking and helpful attitude makes him a valued member of our team. 👏

Today, we’d like you to meet Jess! 💙
Jess has been part of the Empire family since 2021, when she first joined us working in the restaurant. 🍽️ After getting to know the hotel and our guests, Jess made the move over to reception, where she’s now one of the friendly faces helping to welcome our guests and make sure everything runs smoothly. 🏨✨

Jess is hardworking, friendly and always ready to get stuck in – but when she’s not busy at the Empire, life is certainly no less hectic! 😂

She’s a very proud mum to three boys 👦👦👦 and is also happily engaged to Raghu. 💍❤️
