Pick up the best artisan bread in our Deli to enjoy at home 🥖

We stock a range of the very best bread from Plattsville Bakehouse, which prides itself on baking clean, lean, long-proved bread. They don’t use any emulsifiers or anything artificial, and you can taste the difference in every bite.

Your BBQ needs the best sausages, and it doesn’t get any better than the ones from our in-house butcher Edge & Son.

From their traditional 1844 to the timeless Cumberland, to chicken and chive or basil and tomato, there’s one for every plate this summer.

Their secret is using the highest quality meat, with no fillers and no shortcuts, just meat that’s been handled with care.

England Vs Norway = the battle of cheese on toast 🧀

England take on Norway in the World Cup quarter-final on Saturday evening, and what better way to show your support for either team than with cheese 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇳🇴

It’s the ideal excuse for us to feature quirky Norwegian Gudbrnadsdalen, which we like to think of as the Caramac of cheeses. It’s classically served on buttered toast topped with fresh fruit or jam.

We sell it in the Deli, but we’ll even be putting it on the blackboard on Saturday. Apparently it’s often eaten for breakfast in Norway, so we’re ready to give it a bash. We even sell Lucky Jack Norwegian beer. A perfect pairing, we think.

And if you’re fully dedicated to England and convinced it’s coming home, we’ve got an incredible range of English cheeses so you can stock up in the Deli and make your own cheese on toast at home.

It doesn't quite seem possible that it's been five years since we said goodbye to Paul.

So much has changed, but in so many ways nothing has. He still finds his way into conversations almost every day. Someone will tell a story, quote something he used to say, recommend a beer he would have approved of or laugh about one of the many situations he somehow managed to find himself in.

Today we'll be raising a glass of Weihenstephaner to him. Here's to you, PG. You are missed, remembered and never far from our thoughts. 💜

If you’ve never tried Madeira, this is your big chance. You’ll taste your way through everything from dry aperitif styles to dessert wines, all expertly paired with small plates and platters.

It might just be our favourite day of the year - it's World Chocolate Day 🍫

In the Deli, you’ll be spoiled for choice. We’ve got chocolate in all varieties and forms from some of the best suppliers around the globe.

In the restaurant, you can enjoy our Chocolate Orange Bread and Butter Pudding, and we’ve got Cheshire Farms ice cream in traditional Chocolate and Mint Choc Chip if you want something a little fresher.

Come on down and get your chocolate fix. It would be rude not to on World Chocolate Day 😋
