👋 We're at Washingborough Farmers Market this morning. Come quick as the scones are all bit sold out (1 left already!) and the Carrot, Walnut & Orange Cake is going fast! And of course there's our usual delicious, golden, flaky pastries 🥧

Because of the Wegovy, my appetite has dropped but today, for the 1st time in weeks, I took the time to cook a proper meal: (vegan) sausage, apple and cider casserole with Cowleys Fine Foods black garlic cornbread. Now I know why Americans rave about cornbread! It went perfectly with the casserole.

I was embarrassed to admit I'd taken this route but not now. I've lost 29lb/13.15kg using Wegovy! I was sick of being the happy fat person. I struggled to put shoes on, never mind tie any laces and the strain on my knees was getting so bad that I could barely stand, let alone walk.

As my little business picked up, it became a struggle in the kitchen but the weight loss plus exercise has meant that I can now stand for much longer meaning I can keep up with demand as the business grows.

To those that knew, Sharon Lockett Clarissa Kayleigh Marianna Kirton thank you for not judging me and the unwavering support.

Running a food business whilst trying to maintain a weight loss has not been easy 😅 but I'm doing it 😁

A lightly sweetened, spicy filling wrapped in turmeric infused layers of golden flaky pastry.

My Caribbean Pasties were influenced by Veganezer and they are extremely popular!

If you want a try, before they sell out, I'm at Washingborough Farmers Market this Saturday (6th) and at Stourton Estates this Sunday (7th).

Its taken a few days to recover from Gathering of the North, my first event of this size but today it's back to baking for Washingborough Farmers Market on the 6th of June (June?! 😱) and Stourton Estates the next day.

I had immense fun at Gathering of the North and despite it being a 3-day event, I was almost completely sold out by Sunday evening. I also got to meet up with a number of people that I now class as friends: Jacqui of Jacqui de Rose Art, David Hubble of Wyrdwood Studio, Iain Pearston of The Roving Apothecary, the lovely Heather Simone and Alex Gray and many more.

Mad woman that I am, I've applied for the Tewkesbury Medieval Festival in July and the Robin Hood Festival, Sherwood Forest organised by Visit Sherwood Forest in August!

75 Caribbean Pasties made this morning. I'm pooped but this afternoon I have parsnip longboats to make.
