I'm really looking forward to reading this one! Our book for November is The Midnight Train by Matt Haig. We will be meeting on Sunday 8th November at the slightly later time of 11.30am as it's Remembrance Sunday. Usual place - Aroma Coffee Shop, Larne - either upstairs or out the back. This is our book for October, by local author Jan Carson. Next meeting will be on Sunday 4th October at 11am, venue Aroma Coffee Shop Larne.

We had a very lovely celebration for our 2nd Anniversary meeting with a bookswap and cakes! 🥳🥳🥳
The average score for The Dictionary of Lost Words by Pip Williams was 7.4 out of 10. Interestingly, we also had 5 DNFs - did not finishes. This was really due to the slow start to the book which was off-putting. However, the higher score by those who did finish is testament to the fact that, although a slow burner, it was actually a really good story and worth sticking with.
