🦞 home-made lobster ravioli with brown butter & tarragon
🎣 salmon & dill fishcakes with house tartar sauce
🐟 poached smoked haddock on Parmesan risotto with spinach and a perfectly poached egg
🍗 Tiger chicken 2 ways - confit chicken thigh croquettes, roast chicken breast, pommes anna and glazed heritage carrots

Apparently it’s International Tiger Day... so we thought we’d count
how many tigers we have. 🐅

From our pub sign and wallpaper to the bar, the bread and a few hidden
surprises, it turns out there are rather a lot of tigers at The Tiger
Inn.

Last night’s specials were all about making the most of what’s in season 🍴

we started with our hot, home-made jalapeño and cheddar focaccia, served with a refreshing chilled tomato gazpacho - a perfect summer pairing. And the delicious roast boudin noir (black pudding).

For the main course, Chef Sam‘s beautifully cooked roast Gressingham duck breast was served with fondant potato, roasted beetroot, charred baby gem and a rich blackcurrant jus. The blackcurrants were picked by hand from the gardens at Goldsborough Hall just a few days ago, giving the dish an extra touch of Yorkshire provenance.

Alongside our specials, our ever popular Moules Mariniere was also on the menu. A generous pound of fresh mussels in a white wine and cream sauce with garden herbs, served with warm bread and fries. A firm favourite for good reason.

To finish, we couldn’t resist sharing our warm blackcurrant and almond tart, made with those same freshly picked organic blackcurrants, served with clotted cream ice cream and fragrant verbena cream.

Did you know that the Chicken Parmo was born in Teesside?

Originally created in Middlesbrough in the 1950s, it’s become one of the North East’s most iconic comfort foods. And thanks to Chef Sam it’s found a happy home here at The Tiger Inn too.

Every Friday from 3pm to 9pm we serve six different Chicken Parmo, from the classic Original to favourites like the Hot Shot, Buffalo Blue and Fungi Parmo.

A Teesside classic, proudly served in the heart of North Yorkshire.
