Thank you to those that helped us leave the lion.
Just to clarify all gofund.me donations were returned immediately when we knew the sale was not going through.
The pledges we're never collected.
Cash donations were used to pay expenses.
Thank you to all the individuals who pledged money, The Kington Freemasons and SIL in Leominster. You all got us to the 75k mark not an easy task in 6 months!
Unfortunately it was too late and with rent arrears increasing (that would have been written off when the sale went through) and over £50k worth of repairs needed on the building along with constant ever changing deadlines and demands our time was up.
The whole experience has left me totally stressed, drained, exhausted, penniless and in debt all to try and create a community hub for the people of Kington.
I ran the Hub with very little financial support and even when I asked for help it was turned down.
It was the community members who raised the money and these were people who couldn't really afford it but did believe in what we were doing and had themselves received help from the hub and wanted to show their support.
I was hoping to continue my volunteer work for the Kington Community however I now realise I need to stop worrying about others and to restore my depliated health.
