The Weary Traveller Cat Cafe

02/08/2026

Hi everyone!

So, update day! We were hoping today to actually go live with this.. but we promised an update so here it is;

We’re still waiting on everything to go through with the CIC change, but once it’s here, we’ll be launching our fundraising campaign on Crowdfunder!

The reason we’re waiting until we’ve the official status is because of something called Match Funding - which if we can secure that, means for every £1 donated by our lovely community, that would be matched by a sponsor company!

Here’s how you can help now though! Share us around, tell your friends and family about the Weary Traveller, and keep those likes and comments coming!

Thank you all for your dedication and support so far, it’s been amazing to see, and we can’t wait to welcome you all through our doors!

Meowllo again everyone.

It’s been very quiet at this end, and that’s with good reason!

So, two bits of news today; firstly, we are officially becoming a C.I.C. (Community Interest Corporation) as we will be working with so many other CIC, Charity, and community groups we felt it a fitting Change!

Second of all, everyone… meet the star of our little cafe family, Zylo, he is an XL Maine c**n, and is the loveliest big boy, he loves a good head scratch, and will just curl up and chirp at your feet!

There is more news coming VERY soon, by the end of the month, including a way that you can get involved, and bring this wonderful community project to Hull!

Hey everyone.

Little update for you all today, and unfortunately it’s a bit of a doozy.

To put a long story short, things are going to take a lot longer than we initially believed. When we launched the page and started promoting, we were in a position where everything except signing the dotted line was a done deal.

We’ve since lost our source of funding, and therefore have hit a wall.

Whilst we’re still working diligently to bring a cat cafe to Hull, it’s going to take a little bit more time.

The Weary Traveller will be coming, we just need you to know it’s going to take longer than we hoped.

Thank you all so much for your support so far, and we look forward to updating you with better news soon.

Hi all!

Little update from us, we are still working hard in the background, but things are just taking a bit longer than expected!

We are so appreciative of everyone who wants to get involved and support us, however, we are already a very much full team at the moment, and are getting a bit overwhelmed with all the requests! Thank you all so much though!

We will have our website up and ready to show you all soon enough.. so watch this space!

Hello!

Sorry for it being a bit quiet.. exciting things are coming! Today though, we’d like to show you our Summer seasonal menu!

Spent the day meeting our first two residents.

Thor and Loki were very happy for all the cuddles and treats.

Thor made himself well know making sure everyone could see him and fuss him.

Loki, on the other hand, preferred the treats. Though she loves being gazed upon and stealing cuddles away from her brother.

They are excited to come to the cafe and meet everyone, especially for cuddles.

Wow! When I got up today, I didn’t expect all the love and support that we’ve seen today! So hello everyone!

Well. Time to share some news of our own.. we have our first fluffy friends to show you today!

Meet Thor and Loki.. they will be permanent residents with us, a brother and sister duo, loving, fussy, and from what I’ve been told, mad for treats!
