A number of staff & volunteers received emergency first aid training this week from Ken Hawley from https://suffolkmedicalservices.co.uk/

We learned CPR, how to use a defibrillator, what to do about choking, burns & falls, & other potentially life saving actions. These skills are an excellent addition for our already multi-skilled team. Thank you Ken for an interesting and informative morning.

Open as usual this week, 10 til 1.30, Tuesday to Friday at Kesgrave Scout Hall. We support adults with learning difficulties and disabilities.

Everybody is talking about the weather so we won't mention it 🤣🔥Cafe 66 open as usual 10 til 1.30 at Kesgrave Scout Hall Tuesday to Friday. Daily specials likely to be cold dishes rather than hot for summer refreshment. Plenty of cold drinks in our chiller cabinet. We support adults with learning difficulties and disabilities. Looking for lunch that won't break the bank? Give Cafe 66 a try, we serve a full menu of tasty cooked fresh to order meals, and each day we make one or two traditional favourite specials, eg cottage pie, lasagne, chilli, and lots more. Chocolate crunch & custard for afters (subject to availability) and of course home baked cakes, cookies, sausage rolls and scones.

Cafe 66 recently celebrated their 20th birthday with a small gathering of staff, volunteers and friends from across the years. Cake baked by Alex from the Friday team, aka Mrshbakes.

The cafe goes from strength to strength, providing a nurturing work experience for adults with learning difficulties and disabilities. We appreciate your patience at busy times.

Open to the public, Tuesday to Friday 10 til 1.30 at Kesgrave Scout Hall. All food cooked to order, table service or takeaway.

As this is Volunteer Week we'd like to thank all our volunteers past and present, the cafe couldn't run without you!
