We have a very exciting few weeks ahead of us we have so much going on behind the scenes here

We have the national Federation of Fish fryers awards that are a game changer for us to reach the top 5 is amazing but I’m not in it to make up the numbers we want to go all the way and lift the trophy.
The are a couple of absolutely amazing shops and operators that were in the finals with and it’s certainly not going to be easy to lift the trophy to get this far and be recognised by the nfff is a huge achievement especially as we have only been open 5 months the staff have all worked so hard to get this far I can’t wait for the next round of judging early November…..

We also have some other really exciting news about the Peter hill awards that we’re saving for a separate post but I’m sure a few of you will google it it’s a extremely interesting read and if we were to receive there help it would be a game changer for us ….

After a rather busy morning of coaches….

Yes we had 7 coaches booked in at 730 this morning….

No the don’t want fish n chips that time of the morning but we do offer amazing teas n coffees with a bacon or sausage roll ……

I thought I’d check out our social media coverage and we have been added to trip advisor not my preferred review platform ( we love a google review 😉)
But still nice seeing the positive comments……

Words can not describe how honoured I am this morning to make the top 5 in the country for new fish n chip shops ….

Some of the names on this list I know are amazing operators and to be mentioned along side them is honestly amazing for myself and the entire team here .

The next round of judging is in the beginning of November so gives us a week to get over tonight’s hangover as this certainly deserves a celebration 🎉……

I do need to thank our amazing team here because without a doubt we have an amazing team that are growing and improving week in week out and the numbers don’t lie the shop is getting busier every week it’s all down to the hard work they put in helping us grow and slowly change peoples thoughts on service station food 1 chip at a time 😉…..

Good morning all ……

I like to be open and transparent with our Business as it helps to build up customer relationships/loyalty
We might be in a service station but we’re trying to be part of the local community, it’s why we’re sponsoring local football teams and have more planned for the future (but that’s a different post)

So prices ……

We are having to raise a few menu items - we have increased cod by 50p and the daily specials by £1. We have purposely kept the kids meals the same price to help families in the area, but our rent free period is coming to an end and we’re now seeing the running costs settle down so we know where we need to be with our prices….

Before the nasty comments start I’m not out buying new Rolex watches and cars on the weekend it’s to ensure the Business is here for years to come. No Business owner likes passing on the rising costs of running a Business, but unfortunately it’s the state of the country at the moment…..

But don’t worry… more will be cooked tomorrow so they’ll be back in stock ready for the rush!
