World Su***de Prevention Day -
Today I attended Changing The Narrative Of Su***de Event organised by SAM H
One of the guest speakers was Former Scotland Captain & local loon Colin Hendry .
Colin shares with us his personal story around depression & suicidal thoughts & there wasn’t a dry eye in the room it was straight from the heart . A friend asked me why I like going to events like this what brings me there ? My reply was simple “ I care “ . Sometimes we can say we are fine as it’s easier but asking for help when your thoughts are unhelpful really is important . It was so nice being in a Packed room with like minded people & being reminded it’s ok not to be ok 👌.

As Colin said “We are all Jock Tamsons Bairns - meaning : We are all equal & share a common humanity
