🔥A Busy Night for Hartley Wintney Fire Station On‑Call Crew, with Multiple Incidents Attended! 🔥

Yesterday evening, we were mobilised to four separate incidents, supporting our community and partner agencies.

A fire in the open in Mattingley.

A fire in the open in Minley Woods, where dog walkers had discovered an unattended campfire left burning on open land (despite the national alert issued by the UK Government on the High Risk of Wildfires!) Crews made the area safe and fully extinguished the fire.

As we were finishing up, we were sent to reports of a smell of Smoke in Hawley Woods, near the location of previous days’ incidents. The area was thoroughly searched and no fire was found.

Before the night was over, our crew were deployed to assist other agencies in Fleet, working alongside Police and emergency services to support an incident in the High St.

Four calls in one evening, for our On‑Call team, who continue to respond to keeping our community safe, working their availability around their full time occupation.
