Over the past week, you may have noticed a little work taking place on the exterior of Byron’s. 🤍

We're delighted to see the building restored to its historic colours, celebrating the heritage of St Kitts House. 💚

We're incredibly proud to play our small part in preserving its story, and with our doors open, to create a wonderful atmosphere to enjoy our food, cakes and coffee. ❤️

🍎 A Dorset classic, returning to the bake line. ❤️

Our Dorset Apple Cake has made its return to Byron’s. A treasured West Country recipe, with generations of history behind it, traditionally made with tender apples folded through a rich, buttery cake.

Ours is entirely handmade, with the care and attention you’d expect from a proper country bake. Every cake is finished by hand and held to our exacting standards. If it isn’t quite right, it simply doesn’t make the display.

❤️10 months of Byron’s❤️

Today marks 10 months since we opened our doors, and we have never been better.

But as one chapter settles, another is quietly beginning…

There are two weeks until autumn arrives at Byron’s, and with it, a few changes you may notice. Some subtle. Some perhaps a little unexpected. 👀

We’re not going to give too much away just yet. For now, just know that the rhythm is about to change. 🍂

And we can’t wait to show you why. ❤️

We’ve got some lovely evenings lined up over the coming months, and we can’t wait to welcome you through the doors after hours!

🎃 Ceramic Pumpkin Painting – get creative and make your own autumnal masterpiece.

🎄 Bauble Painting – a little festive creativity with a Byron’s twist.

🪢 Macramé Christmas Decorations – create something beautiful to take home and treasure (or hang on the tree!).

Our evening events are being hosted here at the café, with some brilliant local businesses, giving you the perfect excuse for a catch-up, a bit of creativity and a lovely evening out in the village.

Spaces will be limited, so if one catches your eye, don’t leave it too long!

Introducing the Maple Latte. 🍁☕️

We’re using authentic Canadian maple syrup to create something rich, smooth, and beautifully indulgent, with just the right touch of natural sweetness.

A little taste of Canada poured the Byron’s way.

And this is only the beginning. We’ve been quietly working behind the scenes on a whole new collection of drinks, dishes, and ideas, with plenty more still to come.

What a summer. 🤍

We’ve had an incredible few months at Byron’s, and we couldn’t be more grateful for every familiar face, every new customer, and everyone who has chosen to spend part of their summer with us. ❤️

But whilst summer may be drawing to a close, we’re only just getting started.

Behind the scenes, we’ve been working on new drinks, new dishes, and a few closely guarded secrets that we can’t wait to share.

We’ve never been ones to stand still. We’re constantly refining, evolving, and looking for what’s next. Some may be happy doing things the way they’ve always been done, and that’s okay. We’ll keep looking around the corner.

Because like Byron himself, standing still has never been our style 🐾💨

❤️ A very special congratulations to Tony & Meeka! 🐾

We couldn’t be more delighted that Tony and his beautiful girl Meeka have won a Hartley Wintney Community Award, and we were incredibly proud to nominate them.

Together, they bring so much kindness, comfort and happiness to others. Meeka is a trained Therapy Dog and, alongside Tony, visits care homes, the dementia club and other local groups, giving people companionship, a reason to smile and, quite often, a very welcome cuddle. 🐶❤️

It’s the kind of quiet, selfless work that makes such a difference to people’s lives, and we feel very lucky to know them both.

Of course, Meeka also knows that the treat jar at Byron’s is always worth a visit! 😂🐾

Tony & Meeka, you really are two very special members of our community. This award couldn’t be more deserved. ❤️

Well… that was rather lovely ☕️🤍

Last week was one of our craziest since opening nine months ago, and honestly, we’re still smiling about it 😁

Our regulars were out in force, we met plenty of new faces, and there was a wonderful buzz around the café all week.

We’re incredibly grateful that, when you’re looking for great coffee, proper cake and somewhere worth lingering, so many of you continue to choose Byron’s.

We don’t take a single visit for granted. We’re just quietly getting on with doing things properly, and it seems you’re noticing.

Thank you for keeping us busy. We’ll keep giving you plenty of reasons to come back 💚❤️
