This week has been a bit of a nightmare for Oi! Cakes…

My 3D printer has broken. 💔

This isn’t just a hobby tool for me—it’s a crucial part of my business. I use it to create many of my custom cookie cutters, stamps and embossers that help bring all of your weird, wonderful, spooky and themed ideas to life.

Unfortunately, repairing or replacing it is going to come at a significant cost that I wasn’t expecting.

As a small business owner, unexpected expenses like this can have a huge impact, so if you’ve been thinking about placing an order, now would be an amazing time to do so. Every order genuinely helps and would be hugely appreciated while I work on getting everything back up and running.

I regularly attend , and it is genuinely my favourite event to cater for. The passion, community, incredible animals, and fellow enthusiasts make it such a fantastic atmosphere.

At Oi! Cakes, everything is themed. From spider cupcakes and tarantula cookies to creepy cakes and alternative bakes, I love creating treats that fit perfectly with the event and its audience.

I’m looking to expand my connections within the arachnid and invert community and would love the opportunity to attend more shows and events within roughly an hour’s drive of Maldon, Essex.

me.
Website prices have now been updated, and all bespoke designs will be priced accurately based on the ingredients, time, detail, and artistry involved.
Every piece I make is handmade, horror-glam, and crafted with real labour:
sculpting • food colouring • paints • glitter • sprinkles • specialist tools • hours of work.
I love what I do - but to keep loving it, I need to be paid fairly.

Let’s talk about custom cupcake toppers 👀

A lot of people see “just a cupcake topper” — but most custom toppers take anywhere from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours EACH to design, cut, paint, shape, dry, detail, and finish by hand.

Truthfully? Between cupcakes and toppers, many bakers aren’t even making minimum wage.

And I get it — people want to save money. There will always be cheaper options, and I completely understand why customers choose them. But there’s also a growing movement of bakers being more open about pricing, time, skill, and what handmade work is actually worth.

Custom work isn’t mass-produced.
It’s art, skill, experience, and HOURS of labour.
