A traditional country pub nestled on the South Tyne river with 4 star accommodation Our Scores on the Doors rating is 5 out of 5!

The Boatside Inn is a welcoming and attractive Inn only 2 miles from the historic market town of Hexham. It is easy to find just off the trunk road A69 and there is plenty of parking. The menus are interesting and varied, freshly prepared using the best of local produce wherever possible. Our bar offers a wide range of beers, including speciality local ales, and an extensive selection of of wines,

spirits, hot and cold drinks. Meals are served in the restaurant or bar with its log fire, or for sunny summer days in our alfresco beer garden. We also have a function room which can be booked for up to 30 people. We have two semi-detached stone built holiday cottages, awarded 4 star sliver by Visit Britain's Quality in Tourism scheme and three 4 star B&B ensuite bedrooms. We also welcome walkers, cyclists and families which we have also been awarded by Visit Britain. Our B&B rooms are all on ground level allowing disabled access.

🍔THE best handmade veggie burger, if I do say so myself... 😍

If you can't tell already, our Head Chef loves making as much as possible from scratch. From our own dill butter, apricot ketchup and HP sauce, to his handmade beetroot burger and beetroot ketchup, there's plenty of love (and hard work!) going into every plate.

Served on a soft pretzel bun with chunky chips and a fresh salad, this colourful veggie favourite is packed with flavour and made right here at The Boatside⛵️✨

Our Head Chef has been busy turning hand-foraged elderflower from the beautiful Northumberland countryside into our very own handmade elderflower cordial 🌿✨

Fresh, floral and full of summer flavour, our cordial can be enjoyed just the way you like it, with Prosecco, gin, soda water, or as part of your own bespoke elderflower creation.

And keep your eyes peeled…our homemade cordial may be making an appearance in some delicious desserts soon 👀🍋

We're incredibly lucky to be surrounded by the beautiful Northumberland countryside, with an abundance of wild flowers and plants right on our doorstep. Foraging fresh elderflower right outside The Boatside makes this cordial even more special.
