A roastery grounded in art, music and community. We focus on expressive, carefully sourced coffees, roasted with knowledge for a balanced cup.

Supporting the arts through industry, one bag at a time with a creative cowork and Riso imprint on site. We love good coffee. Buying direct from farmers all around the world, our coffee is some of the finest and freshly roasted in the UK, produced from our micro-roastery in the Shropshire Hills. Our scope is simple. Source the best coffee from small holds around the world, sample and develop the roast in response to the unique flavours and aromas.

On our website, we split our coffees into two distinct routes: Experimental / Vibrant and Provenance.

Experimental / Vibrant coffees take their lead from the individual farmer’s experiments. They’re more process-driven, often fruit-forward, vibrant and bright, with flavour enhanced through extended fermentation and other experimental processes.

Provenance takes its lead from origin, varietal and climate, and of course, from the farmer. These are coffees where the flavour draws on the unique characteristics of where and how that coffee was grown.

So, if you’re looking for something a little wild, unexpected or hard to pin down, Experimental / Vibrant is for you.

If you’re looking for your favourite Rwandan brew, still bright, complex and balanced, but with those characteristics of origin really coming through, Provenance is the way to go.

Decaf Decaf! If you need a stable, reliable espresso decaf that delivers cup after cup, this is the one for you. Our Colombia Sugarcane EA Decaf is sourced from selected smallholder producers in Huila and decaffeinated at origin using the natural Sugarcane EA process. Processing the coffee in Colombia not only makes use of a locally abundant resource, but also reduces the coffee's carbon footprint by removing the need for it to be shipped elsewhere for decaffeination before roasting.

The Sugarcane EA process is gentle on the coffee, helping to preserve its natural sweetness, structure and character. The result is a beautifully balanced cup with notes of honey, cherry and toffee. Full of flavour, without the caffeine.
