Not food related, but I'm really getting into my photography and wanted to share this photo with you.

This is an inlet off Barton Broad. It was so zen. I could have sat there for hours. I watched several kingfisher chasing each other across the water and I think I saw an otter, but more of a splosh than a body. I did get confirmation there are otters in the area.

A Saturday off! I was going to work on the supper club menu. But sod it, I'm having a day off, the menu can wait until Monday.

As promised, our comfort food classic Butter Chicken Mac n Cheese is back!

Its not online yet, but it will be available in Chaat Man Indian Deli this Friday, and online and at Beccles Farmers Market next week 😋

As we shift into autumn I start leaning towards more wholesome and comforting meals. Over the last six years I've added a few non-Indian items to my menu including lentil bakes, nut roasts, and soups, all wholesome, healthy, and made with premium whole food ingredients.

I'm going to offer nut roasts again. And not just for Christmas. Nut Roasts be available to pre-order from mid October through to the end of winter. I'll post further details soon, but you're welcome to email me if you'd like to show your interest now at

Chaat Man Indian Deli uses an electric-only kitchen to reduce the burning of fossil fuels. We also monitor our food waste carefully. By offering both fresh and frozen curries, any fresh that don't sell within two days of being cooked are frozen for future sales.

The only food waste we produce is vegetable peelings.
All our lentils and beans are bought in bulk and soaked overnight.
All vegetables are locally sourced.
All meat (apart from goat) is local and high welfare.
All our curries are cooked long and slow.
