Hello all!
The Trash Canteen Kitchen is now shut for a Christmas period! We would like to say thank you to all those that have got involved with and supported the project this year! We are really looking forward to seeing what the new year brings and will let you all know when we are back up and running!

If anyone is looking for somewhere else to eat, do get in touch with Guildford Action who will be able to point you in the right direction!

Humpday workshop with Stu Henshall from The Alternative Kitchen; showing our workshoppers how to make the most out of leftover veggies.

We then had a delicious meal, using produce donated from Waitrose and Tesco's that otherwise would've gone to landfill.

We raised £87.50 for Your Sanctuary and Trash Canteen. Thank you ladies! Here's to the next one.

A big thank you to That's Surrey TV for coming along to film us getting ready with The halow project for our wonderful jointly-prepared lunch last Thursday!

We raised £240 from a delicious feast of vegetable curry, roasted squash, tomato and coriander salsa, and courgette and carrot cupcakes for dessert using homegrown fruit and vegetables from The halow project's Cook and Grow scheme allotment.

Also a big thank you to our partners Smokey Joe for helping us to bring it altogether!

The Boileroom

We raised £240 creating a delicious vegetable curry with tomato and coriander salsa, roasted squash and bombay potatoes; and courgette and carrot cupcakes for afters. All with the help of The halow project Cook and Grow Scheme gang who grew, chopped, prepped and served on the day with us!

Big thanks also to Smokey Joe's for bringing it altogether!

People in the UK are struggling, in Guildford alone around 13000 people have to use food banks. Here at Trash Canteen we offer a pay as you feel or you can pay with food stamps for some scrumptious delights.
