What a brilliant Sunday afternoon and return of the Sober Sessions.

A huge thank you to Starvin' Sid - The Infernal Resurrection and The Hobo, for the fantastic performances and for creating such a great atmosphere at The Black Gull.

Every performer brought something different, and the whole afternoon had a brilliant energy to it. This is exactly what Sober Sessions is about, great music, great people and a great place to enjoy yourself.

Thanks to all the performers, everyone who came along and everyone at The Black Gull for helping make the it such a great afternoon.

Until the next one. 😎

Sober Sessions are back! Sunday 3pm until 5pm (Doors open at 2.30pm).

For our first free gig is the amazing 'Starvin Sid and the Infernal Resurrection' who will be taking the roof off our docks building with their full-on howling' blues and grooves and local musician 'The Hobo' will be warming things up first with his top-notch acoustic covers!

Depending on how many musicians will be trying to pack themselves in to our small space, seating will be limited inside! If the weather stays nice, we'll open up the courtyard seating area too...

Come and join us this Sunday afternoon (20th Sept) at Grimsby's first and only sober venue for good coffee, great food and some fantastic music that will have you toe-tapping all afternoon...

-----

The 'Sober Sessions' are an initiative by Creative Start CIC to promote local music at its finest and to raise much needed funds to continue it's work providing safe and inclusive venues for people in recovery in the local area.

All money raised in the café and kitchen goes straight back in to funding our creative community projects. So not only are you enjoying good coffee, food and live music, you are contributing to real change throughout Grimsby and Cleethorpes!

We're also building our future line-ups for Sober Sessions as the nights draw in and it gets a bit closer to winter. If you are a local band or musician that would like to appear at the Blackgull Café and Venue on Grimsby Docks and support our initiative, please get in touch, either by DM or email: [email protected]

We look forward to seeing you...
