– fair pricing that reflects labour and care
– choosing community spaces for impact over scale

šŸ’ØSpringfest this weekend is now POSTPONED! šŸŒ¬ļø

šŸ“…NEW DATES: Festival now set to take place on 18th and 19th April šŸ“…

We had hoped that despite the forecasted poor weather for this weekend’s Springfest26, the festival could still take place. However, with wind speeds on Saturday night strengthening significantly in this morning’s forecasts, we have reached the decision to postpone it until 18th and 19th April.

šŸ—£ļøSpeaking about the decision, Audrey Calder from Loch Lomond Shores commented:
ā€œForecasted wind speeds on Saturday night mean that it is no longer safe to install all the equipment and temporary structures that are a huge part of the festival.
ā€œWe had hoped that forecasted winds would drop, but this has sadly not been the case. Given this, and that our number one priority is the safety of our visitors and festival team, Springfest26 will now take place on the 18th and 19th April, with hopefully better weather!ā€

Hello lovely people!
I’ll be back at the market tomorrow with lots of fresh Preserving Futures goodies; all small‑batch, handmade, and rooted in sustainability and community.
Here’s what’s coming to the stall this week:
• Preserves: a mix of seasonal favourites and small‑batch specials
• Alpine Iced Tea: cold, refreshing, and perfect for a spring weekend
• Granola: lightly sweet, crunchy, and packed in reclaimed jars
• Breads: fresh, fragrant loaves for your Sunday breakfast
• Dry baking kits: your new go‑to for easy homemade bakes
If you’re wandering through the market, come say hello! As always, thank you for supporting small makers, circular economy values, and the future I’m trying to build with Preserving Futures. See you tomorrow! 🌿✨

✨ New Seasonal Shift ✨
I’ve decided it’s time to say goodbye to orange marmalade and make space for something bright, zingy, and completely joyful: Apple & Passion Fruit Preserve šŸŽāœØšŸˆ
Small‑batch, naturally set with apple’s pectin, and lifted with the tropical sharpness of passion fruit — it’s a gorgeous spring transition flavour and I can’t wait for you to taste it.
Available at the next market stall!

This week’s reminder that small-batch making follows the real seasons — not supermarket calendars.
Sometimes fruit arrives in abundance. Sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes a crop just doesn’t happen (looking at you, unpredictable rhubarb). And that’s part of the care we practice here: not pushing the land, not forcing a product, and being honest when something can’t be made.
A green and caring economy means respecting natural rhythms, not extracting beyond them. So when something appears on the stall, you know it’s truly in season, truly available, and made with integrity rather than pressure.
Thanks for supporting the kind of making that breathes.
