Why choose one wedding dessert when you can have 13?! πŸ€ͺ

I loved putting together these dessert selections for a nearly-200-guest wedding at the end of May. I set up 20 stands full of delicious homemade desserts, then the bridesmaids helped carry them out at the end of the meal, one to each table!

From white chocolate and raspberry cheesecakes, lemon meringue eclairs and tropical fruit pavlovas to sticky toffee cupcakes, blondies, brownies, rocky road and cookies - there was something for everyone!

So grateful for the opportunity πŸ₯°

Not quite finished posting about the Enchanted Forest themed dessert table I made last month, but I promise this is *probably* the last one!

Last year we had a survey to get a heat pump in our home (decided against it in the end as we would have needed new pipes throughout the house πŸ€‘)...

But on her visit, the lovely engineer from gave my daughter a little octopus plushie, which she absolutely adores πŸ₯°

So what better theme than this for her 2nd birthday cake?! πŸ™

πŸ„πŸ¦” Enchanted Forest themed dessert table! 🌳🐌

From hedgehog profiteroles and toadstool brownies to macaron snails, acorn cake pops and cinnamon swirl log stump biscuits - it was so much fun creating and styling this dessert table for and their law society ball for 200 people!

Although I didn’t manage to take photos before guests started digging in (I’d briefly left the table to finish preparing the fruit pots!), I did manage to capture these shots before everything disappeared.

I also have some beautiful professional photos from the evening which I’ll share separately soon! πŸ“Έ

It’s always a little bittersweet seeing weeks of planning and preparation vanish within minutes, but I’m so glad so many people were able to enjoy my baking.

I love being able to get creative with projects like this and can’t wait to be part of more events like it!

Hearty carb-based 'salads' played a big part of the menu - potato salad, Moroccan couscous salad, pesto pasta salad and courgette & butterbean orzo salad πŸ₯”

4 dozen vanilla cupcakes for a special birthday last weekend πŸ₯³

I got a Cricut machine for my birthday a while ago and am only just figuring out how to use it... but after a little trial and error, I managed to make these little gold '80' cupcake toppers with it all by myself πŸ˜…

🚨 The wedding cake I didn't know I was going to make until 48 hours before the wedding!! πŸ†˜οΈ

On Thursday evening, a fellow baker messaged to ask if I could step in at short notice due to illness.

The brief: a 6” red velvet and 8” white chocolate & raspberry cake, finished with Lambeth-style decoration.

Red velvet isn’t something I usually make, so after getting her recipe, I got straight to work that evening to make sure all the sponges were baked and ready for decorating the next day.

By Friday night, the cake was complete - alongside a cupcake order I already had booked in!

To the (still mystery!) bride and groom, I hope it was everything you hoped for 🀍

And to my fellow baker, I hope you’re feeling much better now πŸ’›
