A wee sneak peek at what we’ve got planned for Christmas… 🎄

After the fantastic response to our new evening bistro menu, we thought it was about time we showed you what we’ll be running alongside it over the festive period. Our Christmas menu will be available throughout December, whether you’re planning a work Christmas night out, getting the family together, catching up with friends, or just fancy a good meal and a few drinks in the run up to Christmas. We’ll have more information for you very soon, but we wanted to get this out there now as we think December is going to fill up pretty quickly!

So if you’ve got a date in mind, get in touch and get your table booked early. We’d love to see plenty of familiar faces in over the festive season.

It a very good weekend at The Galloway Larder ✨

Last night we launched our new bistro menu with wonderful feedback and this morning we sat around the table with the family taste testing some new products for the Larder shelves. One of the definite standouts was Zoltan’s bread.

We are absolutely delighted to be welcoming Zoltan’s breads to The Galloway Larder. His craftsmanship, the flavour and quality are exceptional. Proper bread, made with care, full of character, and dangerously easy to keep going back to for “just one more slice”.

They’ll be making their way onto our menus and onto the shelves in the Larder very soon. Watch this space!

Early tea with the family, a lazy dinner for two or a catch-up with friends, welcome to the new look Late Larder. 🍷

Our new relaxed bistro menu launches this Friday, 9th October, from 4:30pm. Good food, easy-going evenings and prices that make “shall we just eat out?” an easy yes.

For those nights when you can’t face cooking, we’ve got dinner covered. Add a glass of house w**e, a draught Moretti or a boozy hot chocolate for the colder nights.

Starting this Wednesday, and every Wednesday throughout October, a group of friends will be joining us in the W**e Bar from 2pm to 4pm, playing a relaxed selection of acoustic country and folk songs.

This isn’t an open session or a formal performance, just a lovely group of musicians playing together and bringing a little live, ambient music to the W**e Bar on an autumn afternoon.

So why not settle in with coffee or lunch, or perhaps a glass of something, and w**e away the afternoon with some folksy favourites?

Both the café and Apothecally will be closed on Monday 5th October while we make one final push with our refurbishment, getting everything ready for lots of exciting changes ahead - including new retail, events and plenty more.

We’re down to our last couple of tables for dinner on Saturday evening, but there’s still space to join us on Friday.

And you don’t have to come for a full dinner. Find a spot in the w**e bar, order a drink and choose a few of our w**e bites to go alongside it.

Crab-loaded jacket tatty, roasted vegetable & halloumi skewers, or a savoury courgette & Gruyère muffin with chilli butter are just a few of the choices.

Add a glass of w**e, or a cold pint of our new Birra Moretti on draught, and that sounds like a rather lovely way to spend an evening.
