On the Isle of Skye, Flodigarry Hotel and Flodigarry Restaurant offers accommodation in a country house sitting on a hill and offering sea views towards the Torridons and Scottish mainland. The hotel and 18th-century cottage are surrounded by ancient woodland and gardens on the Quiraing. Individually decorated, all rooms offer en-suite facilities and a TV. They are located in the main house or in Flora Macdonald’s cottage, just a few minutes’ walk away. At the Flodigarry Hotel and Flodigarry Restaurant, guests will sample regional and seasonal produce and enjoy mountain and sea views by the log fire. Free WiFi is available throughout. Guests can enjoy a whole range of outdoors activities such as wildlife walks, guided mountain and geological rambles, fishing or boat trips or simply relax with a book by the log fire in the lounge.

What’s been growing in our polytunnel? Right now, it's the turn of the nasturtium flowers. Rather than letting the leaves go to waste, our kitchen team started pressing them into an oil. Peppery, a little mustardy, with the same sharp bite as the leaf itself. It's now finding its way onto plates across the menu.

Sometimes the best ingredients are the ones already growing right outside the kitchen door.
