⛳ Maintenance Week – Day One

Maintenance Week is underway, and we’ve made a good start.

Today’s work included:
✅ Greens scarified
✅ Greens verticut
✅ Debris cleared
✅ Started coring the greens

A busy first day for the greenkeeping team, with plenty more to come throughout the week!

Keep an eye out for further updates as we continue our essential maintenance work on the greens.

🏆 Filey GC Club Championship 2026 🏆

A fantastic day for the Filey Golf Club Championship, with scorching sunshine and a gentle breeze providing the perfect test for all competitors.

Congratulations to Tom Sanghera, who produced an unbelievable winning performance over 36 holes, finishing on -9 with rounds of 69 and 64. In doing so, Tom broke his own course record, which he had set just two weeks earlier.

A dramatic chip-in on the 18th hole sealed the victory and capped off an incredible finish, with 7 birdies in his final 9 holes.

Another outstanding achievement and a thoroughly deserved title for Tom. 👏🏆

A huge well done also goes to all 55 players who took part, creating a fantastic championship field and making it a great day for the club.

🏌️‍♂️ PRO AM Day! 🏌️‍♂️

Today we hosted our annual Pro Am and were delighted to welcome a fantastic field of 33 teams to the club.

Congratulations to Hessle Golf Club professional Dave Woodhead, who claimed 1st place with an outstanding score of 64 (-7).

A huge thank you to Infiniti Scaffolding for their continued support and generous sponsorship of this year’s Pro Am. Your support helps make events like this possible.

It was a fantastic day enjoyed by everyone involved, and we would like to thank all the professionals, amateurs, sponsors, volunteers, and staff who contributed to another successful event.

A huge thank you to all the wonderful golfers who joined us for today's Ladies Open Competition at Filey Golf Club! ⛳💚
It was fantastic to welcome both first-time visitors to our beautiful course and familiar faces who return year after year. We hope you all enjoyed a wonderful day of golf.

A well-earned stop at the Halfway House for refreshments gave everyone the chance to relax, catch up and pose for a few photos
before heading out to complete the back nine.
We were especially delighted to hear so many compliments about the excellent condition of the course. Our greenkeeping team works incredibly hard to present the course at its very best, and your kind words are greatly appreciated.
Thank you for making the day such a success. We hope you had an enjoyable round, made new friends, and we look forward to welcoming you back to Filey Golf Club again soon!
