Ah gutted.
Just had word from the council that my application to set up at Darran Park has been denied.
I was really hoping to start something special up there. Starting with tea’s, coffees, soft drinks and of course pizzas. Then build into something more permanent.
It’s not to be though.
Which is shame because I see Darran Park as THE hidden gem of the Rhondda.
It’s stunning but people sometimes need a reason to go places. Think Barry sidings, Cambrian lakes, dare valley county park etc.,
The good news however is they’ve offered me a pitch down by the new taff trail (by the new a bike path) a bit out of the way but could be awesome if we could get some picnic benches down there.
Unsure whether to pull the trigger on that though. It’s over £1000 a year for a street trading license which is cheaper than rent but a lot when there’s potential minimal passing trade.
What shall I do?
