It’s the MCC today starting at 2.30. The sun is shining and it’s going to be a fabulous day. They MCC are bringing a strong team so The Ship is hoping their generous hospitality over lunch will help with their win….!

A great day of cricket and now the tide has rolled in ready for another day… A good win for The Ship today against The Borderers, winning by 94 runs.

So yesterday’s 20 over match was very well poised for a close end. Sadly match was ended at this point. It was a really fantastic day, a fun match with a great oppo and we wish Katie And Guy a wonderfully happy day today. And a speedy recovery

Our first cricket match of 2026 is this Saturday (9th) and we can’t wait to welcome back our friends from Kilmacolm! 🏏

Last year was a fabulous day, great weather, lots of laughter and some cricket thrown in amongst it! And we’re expecting more of the same this weekend…

Kilmacolm return to Elie for the 11th time, still hunting that elusive first victory
Is this finally their year… or can we keep the streak alive?

Come an join us in the beer garden, or on the beach and enjoy what should be another great afternoon of cricket (and possibly history… one way or another 😄)

BBQ and Beach Bar will be open from 12pm
Match starts at 2pm
Live music in the bar with Thomas Rock form 8.30pm

Our next cricket match on the beach is on Sunday 3rd August at 2pm. Our annual local rivalry match between our villages of Elie & Earlsferry - two teams doing battle on the sand for local bragging rights.

We still have space for a few more players, so please contact us at [email protected] if you would like to play, or pass this on to anyone you think might like to. A great chance for some “irregular” cricketers to come and join us. Players can be of either gender but must be aged 18 or over and have at least some cricketing experience, although if you look at some of the players playing perhaps not so much of that required!

Cricket whites, or as close as you can get to cricket whites, and trainers are the order of the day. Everything else provided.

Come and join us for a fabulous day of fun, and if you are not playing please come down and support the players and enjoy an afternoon in the beer garden.
