Here's the third member of our creative team, Jacqui Gorstridge, our brilliant choreographer. Jacqui has spent hours devising and teaching some fabulous routines to our cast.

Elf the Musical is a dance heavy show - it has elves dancing on their knees, tap dancing, dancing on roller skates and full cast numbers. Jacqui's choreography is witty and wonderful, fitting the high energy feel of this show perfectly. Jacqui is a pro dance teacher and is VP at the Julie turner stage academy which teaches dance to local youngsters. They will be joining us on stage again for our panto, The Sleeping Beauty in January.

Meet Jonathan, who's been our Musical Director since 2011. He has been schooling our cast to make sure the catchy toe-tapping songs in Elf sound perfect! He's much in demand and MD's for several societies.

The Rotherham Advertiser has published this brilliant article about our rising star, Ollie!
He's just starred in his first professional acting role for Tesco and has another professional project in the pipeline!

You might remember how brilliant he was as Olaf the Snowman in Frozen Jr last year and as Mr Krabs in the Spongebob Musical Youth Edition last March. He's so talented and has such a bright future!

Don't miss him as Buddy the Elf's little brother Michael next month. He's sharing the role with his pal, Sebastian, who is also a fabulous performer.

Only five weeks until Elf The Musical opens, so we thought it was time we introduced you to our cast and creatives!

We'll start with the man in charge, our wonderful director, Ashley Booker-Wright, Director. He's a brilliant director, full of original ideas with scrupulous attention to detail. No wonder he's sought after by lots of local societies. We like to think DOS has a special place in his heart though 💝.

He's directed all our recent musicals and last year's production, Calendar Girls, won the NE NODA musical of the year!

You will be amazed at what he's doing with Elf! He's creating some stunning visual effects using technology that is a first for DOS. We can't wait to show you the results of his genius!
