As it’s ASB Awareness Week, we are joining partnership organisations to highlight the ways you can report ASB and get support if you’ve been a victim of ASB.

| When problem or nuisance behaviour affects your community, it’s important to report it so it can be addressed.

Understanding anti-social behaviour (ASB) and how to report it can be key in getting the issues addressed quickly and prevented in the future.

We’ve created an interactive quiz on our Facebook and Instagram page to help you test your ASB knowledge and learn more.

Thank you Tibshelf Police SNT and residents of Newton Community Association for a fun filled morning! It was great to catch up!

🚔 Anti-Social Behaviour Awareness Week 🚔

Evening all,

A bit of a delayed update today as I was out and about from 10am this morning.

I headed over to Newton’s Community Centre to meet with Sophie Wager from Victim Support. We spent time speaking with local residents about anti-social behaviour and the impact it can have on individuals, the wider community and the important role Victim Support plays in helping those affected.

Later in the day, I also visited Town Ends Junior School to support our Digital Detectives for an assembly focused on raising awareness around anti-social behaviour online. We discussed what constitutes online bullying, the importance of staying safe and secure online and how young people can support one another in creating a positive digital environment.

A big thank you to Rachel Boswell and Sophie for your support today – great to work together as always and hopefully the messages shared will have a positive impact.

Sophie is doing back to back talks with Tibshelf’s Town End School today about her job as a Youth Victim Support Practitioner.

The children have prepared some questions to ask her and she will be asking each group:

“How do we work together to make Tibshelf a safe place to live?”

“How do you report a crime?”

Sophie and Jindy had a great time supporting a young person today. They played a game whilst chatting about the crime and the impact on their life.

The young person said they enjoyed the support session and that they felt much better.
