The Essential Guide to Disability Duties in Early Years (parents & carers) -

Discover the legal obligations and practical strategies to support every child's right to an inclusive education.

This training is for parents/cares of young children with SEN and Disabilities:

The training session will;

- Summarise how the disability duties in the Equality Act apply in the early years;
- Consider how the definition of disability applies to young children;
- Help parents/carers understand what is expected of early years practitioners to make reasonable adjustments for early years children in accordance with the Equality Act.

Join ongoing research studies, contribute to national research projects and ensure that the issues that matter most are documented and acted on.

Researchers at The University of Manchester are looking to understand what factors influence deaf children's spoken language development. They need to participants to complete:

two online questionnaires at the start of the project
follow-up questionnaires and a 40-minute online session with you and your child nine months later

Who can take part -
Parents and carers of children who:

are aged 2 to 3 years old (up to 3 years and 2 months)
have any type or level of permanent deafness or hearing loss
use spoken language at home at least 60% of the time
