SO sorry to report but MSDC Planning, in its wisdom, has refused permission for The Filling Station to operate from the proposed new premises on the grounds that it is not a sustainable location. They think the new location is too remote and will encourage people to drive. Words fail me. I have done my level best to relaunch The Filling Station, but I have to accept defeat and think of another way to make a living. Apologises to all our loyal customers who have been waiting and hoping to be able to enjoy our food again. It all feels so wrong. 😔

Subject to planning permission, we will be reopening by the New Year on the A1120 opposite Ichiban! What's more we hope to be selling the highest quality Wagu burgers that come from cows raised in Earl Stonham. Can't get more local than that! Very exciting! Thanks for bearing with us! We're coming back!

We have scoured Debenham and the local area for new premises, turned every stone and have drawn a total blank. The fact is that suitable premises simply do not exist and so with very heavy hearts we are forced to accept defeat and close our business.

Losing our premises incurred huge financial losses for us and are still finding it hard to accept that all our hard work has come to nothing. Still, we are PROUD that we managed to build such a successful business from scratch, gain the support of so many loyal customers and serve Debenham the best burgers in Suffolk!

Thanks SO much to Chloe Murray, Gordon Coe, Rob Longstaff Eade, Jo Beverley, Christian Sherman and our latest additions Jackum Strutton and Floss Chambers. You played a huge part in our success. We made a good team and managed to stay upbeat, singing our way through those incredibly busy nights!

We will keep this page going in the hopes that one day we have something positive to post - so please stick with us! Now to think of another way to make a living....Open to work opportunities!!!
